5 Loud Engine Noise problem of the 2010 Cadillac SRX

Failure Date: 03/19/2015

I took my 2010 Srx into dealership due to a loud roaring noise and vibration in the vehicle at 50-60 mph. Dealership advised that tires needed to be replaced and vehicle aligned. Tires had less than 30,000 miles on them. All tires were replaced and vehicle aligned ($1000. 00+). Approximately 2 - 3 weeks later, I noticed a loss of power in the vehicle when trying to accelerate. Additionally, while stopped at a stop sign or light, vehicle sputtered and shook like it was going to die. This happened on several different occasions. Stability trac light come on during this time but then went out. 05. 01. 15, the vehicle completely lost all power to accelerate over 40 mph and has an awful roaring noise. 05. 05. 15, the vehicle was towed to the dealership & is currently there. Received call from dealership that the wheel hub bearings need to be replaced @ $1,100. 00+. I am not happy with this solution & do not believe is will fix the current issues with my vehicle, as I should not be having a bearing issue @ 70k miles. I now believe that something more was wrong to have caused my tires to have worn so quickly and poorly. Further, there is moisture buildup in both of my headlamps that I predict will cause problems after reading previous consumer complaints without gms acknowledgement.

6 Loud Engine Noise problem of the 2007 Cadillac SRX

Failure Date: 01/16/2009

My husband purchased my vehicle in October, 2006. Within 2 months it was returned to the service department of the dealer. The chrome handle had started peeling on the driver side, the rear window seal was leaking whenever it would rain and the check engine light was on. The leak was repaired, I was told that the engine light was on because we took the factory wheels off and they would call us when the handle came in. That never happened. Toward the middle of 2008 the following messages started showing up. Traction control on and power to engine reduced causing my vehicle to stop in traffic suddenly this caused cars to swerve around me to prevent impact. The day in question I had just picked my 16 yr old daughter up from her audition. We were merging onto I-75 when I heard a loud sound come from the rear of the vehicle. My vehicle immediately spun out of control heading for the oncoming cars, big rigs and trucks. I missed the cement wall by the grace of god and landed in a snow embankment. The timing chains and rear axle shaft were replaced and that did not help. Within 24 hours the vehicle was doing the same thing shutting power down to the engine and I had to return it to the dealer. They finally replaced the door handle after finding out that it had cut my finger causing me to receive 3 stitches. I no longer feel safe driving this vehicle and would like for gm to step up and take it back without penalty. If I wanted the headache of being in and out of someone's service center I would have purchased a used vehicle or what they call a hoopty.
