My VIN is not associated with the recall, identified as NHTSA id 12v525. It affected 12,626 2013 Cadillac Xts vehicles manufactured between October 12, 2011, and August 30, 2012. However, the rear seat headrests in this 2013 Cadillac Xts will not stay in the upright position. Safety concern: this could lead to the headrest collapsing during a crash, potentially increasing the risk of injury to rear seat occupant I called my local dealer red nolan Cadillac and they informed me that since the VIN is not associated with the recall, they cannot help me with a replacement unless I pay $497 for labor and parts to replace the headrests in the rear of my vehicle. Help!!! I believe this is a safety issue when someone is in the back seat. It has already been identified as a safety issue. The rear seat headrest mechanism may not engage properly, causing the headrest to not lock in the upright position after being folded forward. Remedy:the recall involved replacing the affected headrest mechanisms with a revised design.

The cue system has totally quit so we are unable to change radio stations, get driving instructions, talk on the telephone etc. After reading online, this is a problem that Cadillac is not addressing and just tells us we have to replace it at our cost. Very disappointed that this hasn't been addressed in the past as many cars have been affected.

The screen on the Cadillac cue system has cracked/spidered and now has become a serious safety issue. You have to continuously fumbled around pressing buttons while driving. I have contacted gm numerous times and have gotten the run around. I understand that there are a few class action lawsuits still ongoing over this safety issue. Is the NHTSA looking into this problem?.
Transmission issues. In virginia in addition to other states with same issues. Judge in michigan order class action suit to go forward against gm. Virginia cars should added to the list of other 26 states identified by the court.
Cue screen spiderd causing you to not control radio at times I’m driving and my radio is on 12 and the volume and can out of nowhere jump up to like 60 you cannot turn it down even if you hold the button on the steering wheel this has happened multiple times I’ve had at the dealership they have seen the video and they’re telling me it’s possibly an electrical issue but it needs to be fixed before he causes an accident.
The cue screen in my car is cracking for the 2nd time. I have contacted gm/Cadillac without a resolution. I see online that there have been two class action suits due to the fact the company was/is aware of the flaw and have not issued a recall. In addition, they are replacing the cue screen (at owner's expense) with the same flawed design. Thus subsequent issues.

The screen on the cue system cracked, spider web cracked. Under no particular conditions. I got in it one day and it was like that. The car is parked in a garage unless driven. I asked the dealership about this and if there was a recall. The dealership said they have had a lot of complaints about this, but no recall. It is expensive to get fixed, and from what I've been reading online, they replace with the same screen, so it could happen again. This is so unexceptable.

The cue system on my Cadillac cracked and it’s affecting my screen. No music no navigation. No air nothing and an annoying beep every 60 seconds.
Light come dash board stabilitrak light light for master break steering it has been in many wrecks and they sold it to me it keeps going sometimes when you hit the breaks jump’s stuffers the drivers seat goes all the way back when you get out off car.
I barely have under 37,000 miles on this car haven't owned it to long . . And I am very disapointed in the ride of the car it feels like if you are going over a small bump in the road like you have hit a gutter almost. . I thought Cadillacs were suppose to be the best ride. . I think this should be a warranty problem I think it had 35,000 when we bought it we usually leave for the winter so its stored in are garage. It can be freeway or just among city roades just wherever there is any deformaty in the road where are other vehicles we do not see this we have a GMC truck and a 2007 hummer we do not feel the bumps with them. . Please help.
I feel very disappointed in the ride of my 2013 Cadillac. I have the air pressure checked which I am showing changes down to 31 29 etc. It feels like you are hitting a speed trap that has been dug out . . Not sure why when going on city road in layton feels like it going 30 50 40 miles and on the freeway if there is any indentations it makes me cringe when I see a bump in the road that I cannot get over. How it rides over it? are other vehicles do not do it? so there must be a problem have noticed it for about 4 months but we use are other cars as well so not using it all the time? I cannot afford to have this problem please help.
I came out to my car last year in the summer and my screen was shattered in the corner it has gotten worse and not I can not even use the touch screen any longer.

Cue information system failure. This system failure presents a safety issue being that the navigation system does not work and the hands free also does not work. There seems to be a lot of system failures so, I'm sure that there are a lot more concerned owners.
Cadillac user experience (cue) continues to malfunction after recall updates were installed. Vehicle has had 4 attempted repairs to correct the defect problem still persist and presents a serious safety risk as visibility to hazards at the rear of the vehicle are impaired and in some cases reduced to none. Vue controls most of the features on the vehicle. Cue becomes disabled and blacks out making it impossible to restore normal rear visibility functions such as the side mirrors pivoting down. In the absence of the rear view camera, the pivoting action reduces and occasionally obstructs most visibility while backing. Recently a 4 year girl was nearly struct during this failure. With the mirrors down and no rear view camera, all that was available to view to the rear was the rear view mirror which is aimed to high to see a small child behind the vehicle in a parking lot. . In addition to this incident, all of the controls for the vehicle are adjusted or controlled through the cue module. It's absence or malfunction reduces most of the safety and convenience features are inoperable.

The airbag light came on and I just recently purchased the car three months ago. I check the car fax and called Cadillac customer service. The information that was given by both stated the car never been in a accident and was well taken care of. I took it to the dealership and they stated I need a clock ring and airbag module, which cost over $700 dollars. They also stated that GMC switch the guidelines on the clock ring and they can't install it without the airbag module. They have no ideal why it's been change and now I have to wait for the airbag module because the clock ring want fit. I can't drive me car home because of safety reasons and they had to give me a car for the time being. This have to be some type of defect because there's no way I should be having this issue when everything checked out perfectly. Now they trying to charge me for a part that they didn't know GMC change the specifications on! this light just happen to come on when my car was parked, then my steering wheel controls went out and my horn stopped working. Something it's not right because it was confusion at the dealership and they couldn't explain why GMC change the specifications on the part. The man at the Cadillac dealership stated he have to give GMC a call Monday but like I stated to him how's that fair to the customer when you all still trying to charge me for a part you all didn't know that change. I've had plenty use certified cars in the past and never has this happen. Those cars that I've had are not expensive as my Cadillac. I've have seen the Cadillac Xts had recalls and for my airbag light that just came on is not a coincidentes.
The backup camera guide lines can barely be seen and in any sun light cannot be seen at all. At night , all you can see is what looks like snow. Cadillac says it is a software problem and there is no fix. This is a safety issue and need to be addressed there are numerous complaints about this and Cadillac refuses to fix it.

Headliner in rear of car fallen down.
For the second time, I can't get into or start my car after it's sat unused for a few days. The first time, Cadillac told me how to open the car. Then, I attempted unsuccessfully to jump start it. The dealership replaced the battery. When it happened the second time, the dealership said they didn't know what happened.
I purchased this vehicle October 20th 2017 and within 2 weeks the service driver assistance system light came on. Took it to dealer was told was old code and erased a few days later same message came on was told dash was cleared and gm case filed. A few days later light came on for 3rd time. Dealer toyed us around about fixing it but finally supposedly did with new sensors in seat. Since then I have been having major electrical issues with my abs system and key fob. Key fob becomes unresponsive and abs light comes on and off. Took car to dealership was told abs sensor was supposedly broke and not covered under warrentee and they refused to fix the issue for me. I am very affraid to drive the vehicle it sits parked in my yard and I paid over 20k for it. I feel I have been taken advantage of because I have a disability with my speech. I have documentation about key fob and abs I can send if needed. The car was driving when the abs light came on went off and traction control came on then off then back on. The key fob wouldnt work when trying to turn car off because it has push button the fob controlls starting it and turning it off.
The lane departure and lane keep assist, both safety features, do not work with any degree of consistency. They only work occasionally. 2 dealers confirmed the problem but without a factory fix they are unable to remedy the problem.
My wife and I were traveling at interstate speed -( 70 mph) about 4 pm when a loud explosion occurred in the rear part of the car. It caused the car to swerve and drop about 6 inches. I almost hitting an 18 wheeler and there was another 18 wheeler behind me. Other cars around me started to blow their horns in alarm. I carefully slowed the car while, putting on the emergency flashers, and moved to the right lane attempting to find an emergency parking place. I felt I needed to assess the damages. There was no place to stop! I was forced to drive @ a mile to an exit ramp where I could safely stop and call the Cadillac service dept. The service tech recommended I drive it to the nearest dealer (austin TX - 35 miles away) or limp 60 miles to san antonio where I purchased the car and have it serviced). My wife is not well and I selected san antonio for medical reasons. The dash warning indicator stated, "leveling device service needed. " san antonio's Cadillac service mgr. Stated two problems needed repairing: 1) both air blathers exploded and 2) the leveling air compressor needed replacing. This is the second time this car was seen by this dealership for leveling problems. This was a very serious experience for me, a combat veteran and senior citizens near age 80 . My wife and I could have caused a very bad accident in the middle of heavy commuter traffic on I-35 in austin TX in rush hour traffic. I have never had an auto driving accident in my life. This experience was freighting and I am reliving the drama of how bad it could have been for the two of us. I no longer trust the car and feel I may be forced to trade early even though I just purchased an extended warranty to 85k or July 2020 which ever occurs first. . Driving vehicle on hwy 408 (east west expy) on Friday afternoon around 5pm on 6. 23. 17, and front part of the panoramic sunroof shattered. I heard what sounded like an explosion coming from top of car. Pulled over and saw that the outisde glass of the front part of the sunroof had shattered with glass coming into my driver side as well as I am sure the remaining glass shattered towards outside. I do not understand how this could happen while driviing under normal circumstances. The experience was shocking and frightening. I was glad there were no passengers with me. I went to massey Cadillac located on orange blossom trail in orlando. I want this documented by the dealer and urging for a solution to this situation. There were no objects coming from above that hit the sunroof. It would have had to be, in my opinion somethng very very heavy! the dealer service rep stated that I come back on Monday, 6. 26, 17 to see what is decided on the matter. This is a safety issue that could have ended tragically. I depend on my car for business .
While driving on expressway going approximately 70 mph sunroof glass suddenly exploded out of nowhere, glass shattered and spread all throughout my car dropping onto myself my wife and my children. There was a loud boom from the glass shattering which was very startling while driving. Major concern is that there could have been an accident from loss of control of the vehicle. The weather was cloudy and temperature was about 60 degrees. No debris present, there was no car in front of me or to the side of me. I was not going under an underpass. From the startling noise there could have been an accident which may have caused me or my family harm or death. I believe these sunroofs need another look.
