One problem related to brake sensor has been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet 1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There have been consistent problems with this vehicle since we bought it on June 18, 1999. The frame and suspension looked as if it was driven in a salt bath - totally rusted. Saw this right after buying it but the dealer would not do anything. We have never received any recall notices. The worse thing that happened was when the brakes went out on my wife while driving on the expresseway about an hour away from home. The front shocks were bad with 553 miles. The egr valve went out the first week we had the truck. The brake lines, brake sensors and rotors have been replaced 7 times. As of today this truck has 52,000 miles and it is 15 years old. We will never buy another gm vehicle. Does someone have to get killed or injured before anything is done?.
