My spare tire support system failed causing the tire to fall from underneath the vehicle. I was travel at about 45 mph, luckily no one was behind me at the time. The tire bounced up off the pavement but stayed in my lane. This support system uses a 3/16" wire for it supporting the weight of the suspended tire. Are there any recalls on this support system? jay kent.

While driving at 25 mph heard a noise from the rear. After arriving at destination noticed the cable, which supported the spare tire broke, and spare tire was missing.
