The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet 1500. The contact stated that the tires that came with the vehicle were michelin conversion tires instead of the original tires. The tire size was w255/55/r18 105, but should have been w255/55/r18 109. On August 16, 2007, the tires were low, cracking, and bulging even though a lot of tread still remained. The powertrain and dot number were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 25,110.

Firestone, wilderness at tire, p265/75r16, dot w273wma, original equipment on a 2000, Chevrolet with 25000 miles. Sidewall blewout at 70 mph on left rear tire. No accident. Consumer had just had tires rotated with proper air in them.
