First recall, only dealer on island (hawaii) went out of business and couldn't be done by a gm dealer. Windshield washer fluid heater was removed by a mechanic shop at my own expense. Second recall, the passenger airbag inflator hasn't been done due to the fact that 2007 - 2014 chevy Avalanche, tahoe, suburban & GMC yukon are known for cracked dashboards which includes my Avalanche. My dashboard was cracked before the airbag recall and I covered the dashboard with fiberglass mat and resin to repair it as a new dashboard was not covered by warranty and exceeded over $2,000. 00 to replace. The area to access the airbag is sealed and would require a new dashboard. There is now a new chevy dealer here that can do the recall but I would have to pay the cost to replace the dashboard so it hasn't been done as I'm not able or willing to pay for the additional expense.
Airbag warning won't go says my airbag is disabled.
The contact owned a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 mph, he lost control of the vehicle after hitting a pothole. Was going down the road and there was a big load bang or pop that sounded like a bomb went and the seatbelts sucked us back and locked us in place and then the service airbag light came on the light stays on the seatbelts are locked up can remove and it was like the air bags says will no longer deploy/work and now can't use the seatbelts and the law says no seatbelt use we get a ticket so now can't drive truck unless I want a ticket. So what do I do now I am disabled and this my only vehicle that I need to get to the doctors with so how to get it fixed is the manufacturer responsiblaby. My email is sharonr4304@yahoo. Com my phone number is 731-257-1235 would like someone to contact me ASAP please.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, the vehicle was making tapping noises. The passenger side air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that the passenger side air bag was faulty and the lifter had collapsed since the vehicle ran on a 4 cylinder instead of the usual 8 cylinder, which caused the lifter to collapsed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
Have a 2007 chevy Avalanche ltz 5. 3l that has a dashboard panel that is completely falling apart and cracking everywhere. This includes multiple cracks and broken pieces surrounding the airbag. I am worried these pieces could get propelled by the airbag if the airbag were to deploy. These cracks and broken parts of the dash have also caused multiple other things to become loose. The controls on the front of the dash are falling out because they can no longer be bolted to the dashboard panel due to it's pieces being broken. I was hoping chevy had a recall as this is an issue with many of their trucks but could not find any information about it. I was hoping there might be some information or help with supplying a replacement dashboard panel part #15915974 from gm/Chevrolet. Thank you.

Recall on defective passenger airbag.
Service air bag showed up on my instrument cluster. The code reader shows code b0020-0d, passenger instrument panel air bag deployment loop stage 2 short to battery. The warning has been intermittent for years and then here recently the warning became a steady illumination. When this issue first started it didn't matter if I was moving or or stationary. Now the warning does not go off. I am not 100% positive if the takata recall is what is affecting my air bag but according to the recall it is the passenger side front air bag. Currently my vehicle falls under manufacturer recall number 2049151 and NHTSA recall number 16v381. The recall is currently incomplete, and a remedy is not yet available. I live in texas so as the the ambient temperature increased the air bag issue became worse.
In may 2016, NHTSA recall#16v383, mfg recall#2049152 was issued for takata airbag recall/replacement and nothing from gm has happened. I've made several calls to gm 800 support and continue to get run around- they are dodging replacing this part on my chevy Avalanche. I've recorded in my records and noted who/when I've spoken to there, informimg them that I will hold gm liable for any/all damages civil and criminal shoiuld anyaccident occur that triggers malfunction of this device and any resulting injuries to vehicle passengers.

A vehicle ran a red light in a intersection and was close to crashing into the front passenger side. My pregnant wife was sitting on the passenger seat. Thank god we did not get hit. My pregnant wife could have been seriously injured with out the passenger air bags not working.
While driving my airbag alert came up.
Plastic dash panel cracked in four places over airbag and over instrument cluster creating a high risk for shattering or air bag deployment.
Takata recall.
Takata recall. Essentially all I am asking is how has this not been resolved yet? the petition was over in August of 2017. I am just looking for some resolution before my kids are old enough to ride in the front seat.
After washing my 2007 Avalanche the seatbelt on the passenger side exploded and my brakes started to fluctuate and make a spring noise. This all happened as I drove away from the car wash.
Takata recall. (this not an accident report. ) on 2/20/17 I called a local authorized chev dealership about the recall on my truck for an airbag defect. I called again today, 2/20/29 about the same issue. Both times I have been told they do not have any parts to correct the problem. When I went to register my vehicle for the upcoming renewal period maryland dmv wrote "please contact your local manufacturers authorized dealership to resolve at no cost. " so, I am pretty confused as what to do. It had been exactly 2 years since my first notice of this problem and I am still being given the same answer while I am also still being told to contact a dealership to get this repaired. What am I supposed to do? am I just being given the runaround? please advise as I do not want to endanger my family or anyone else should this explode unexpectedly. Thank you. Frank rinaldi.
