Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche

Takara recall. On 7/11/18 I was in a head on car accident and front air bags s did not deploy, truck was driving 35mph when another truck pulled out into my lane and I hit him very hard , police noticed and asked several times if airs bags deployed and they did not.

3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 05/17/2017

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. The contact stated that there was a takata airbag recall received. The dealership antelope valley Chevrolet located at 1160 motor ln, lancaster, CA 93534 was contacted in March of 2017 and stated that there were no parts available to remedy the recall. The dealership stated in September 2017 that there were still no parts available. The vehicle was involved in an accident. The vehicle was travelling approximately 45 mph. The front end of the vehicle was impacted and the airbags did not deploy. The contact stated medical attention was not required. The contact stated a police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed for the failure and was repaired by the contact. The manufacturer was not contacted for the failure. The failure mileage is unknown. Akp.

4 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 05/03/2016

"takata recall" I have not received a recall notice nor has this problem been fixed. I had front end damage to my truck at about 40 mph and the air bags did not deploy. I was traveling on an highway. By not deploying may have been a good thing. I would like for Chevrolet to correct this ASAP.

5 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 05/16/2013

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche. The contact stated that while accelerating from a complete stop, the driver and passenger air bags failed to deploy after another vehicle crashed into the contact's passenger front and rear side. The contact sustained bruised ribs, spine, and head injuries. The passenger sustained left and right arm injuries. The vehicle was destroyed and a police report was filed. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 42,000. Mah.
