After a couple of years my vehicle developed several cracks in the dash, especially around the airbag. Yesterday I had the airbag recall performed. While in operation at 55 mph the engin power was reduced after three service appointments repair attempts. Reduced power mode is a condition inserted by the engine controls module as a result of the fly by wire connection. The result was a quick speed reduction to 20 mph as max speed. Dot requires 45 mph, unsafe!.

I've only used the one dealership for this vehicle. They confirmed that they've never fixed it even though they were aware of this recall and have refused to fix it now. Takata recall! I have been waiting to get general motors to fix my defective airbag. My dashboard is so badly cracked it has effected the functionality of the air bags. This an expensive repair and happens to majority of these trucks.
The dashboard has cracked around the instrument cluster and the air bag. Causing safety hazards. It is obviously a flawed design gm refuses to own up to. The vehicle also has some electrical issue that causes the trucks to come to a stop on the interstate.

Takata recall. Recall sent to me in July 2016 of potentially fatal flaw in passenger airbag. It is now November, 2018 (over 2 years later) and I have not heard anything to remedy this "potentially fatal" situation. When will this be remedied?.

The dashboard has several cracks and just recently, a chunk fell into the dashboard. If the airbag deploys, there are probably parts around it that will deploy into the passenger as well as the driver's face. Considering how brittle it is, it will probably shatter in the even of an accident, sending shards of plastic scattering throughout the interior as well.
Takata recall. It is now 3 weeks shy of 2 years since the recall of takata airbags and Chevrolet dealers are still claiming replacement parts are not yet available. According to NHTSA website, takata has deemed these airbags defective and gm was granted until 8/2017 to complete investigation. When will this recall be implemented by gm?.
Takata air bag - I received a notice 2 years ago about a recall from chevy and still no solution. I contacted the local chevy dealer last week and they say they dont have any idea when the needed parts will be available. I have 3 small kids that ride with me on a regular basis, I cant keep riding around with this dangerous situation.
1-takata recall 2- rear differential- I had to completely replace the rear differential at 153,000 miles. I have seen a lot of the same problem reported on different online forums. There should be a recall on this. It cost me over $3,000. It had many broken parts inside of it. It could have locked up the rear wheels and caused a very unsafe condition. Thank you.

I received an important legal " takata recall"notice that my 2008 chevy Avalanche is involved in a recall for my airbags. I was instructed to log on to airbags . Org. I registered my vehicle . I was instructed to contact a local auto nation chevy dealership. . It took them all day to get back with me that as of now gm has not come to a decision as on how to deal with airbags recall. I expressed my concern because that recal notice I received was pretty confident that they needed to be replaced. Gm service mgr. Told me I need not be too concerned. I'm very concerned with there nonchalant attitude. Please lett me know what my options are please. I contacted advantage Chevrolet when I received the recall notice telling me to call to schedule repair and was told there is no action to take at this time, why does the recall notice tell me to do this if the dealer isn't going to CO-operate, also dealer says I will be notified but recall notice says I will not be notified in the future. I do not have a claim other than being part of this recall.
Takata recall is in effect, but the local dealerships said that Chevrolet has not sent replacement parts. This is very irresponsible. If the airbags are not replaced, they should be removed to keep a deadly accident from happening.

The insurance company investigated the failure. The dealer sent information to the manufacturer. The contact waited more than a week for a response. The manufacturer indicated that due to the vehicle being turned over to the insurance company, they would not provide an investigation. The vehicle was destroyed. The driver was not injured.
