My car has had multiple issue within the 8 months is have had it. My car has 68900 miles on it and is a 2011. My car was in the shop for a total of two months because, my breaks stopped working on the interstate, it was running hot, my acceleration ( pickup speed) will not work properly. My car is always drifting to the left when I do drive. My check oil light came on, took it to the dealership and had a full tank of oil. They told me again nothing was wrong. A large amount of liquid comes out my car after parking it, assuming it is from my a/c but its more then usual. My a/c does not get cold all the time, its pretty hot. My steering wheel has been shaking since I purchased it, when I go up hill my car wont go past 40 mph, then when it reaches to 60 mph it wont stop increasing, when I hit my break going down hill the steering wheel shakes, and the car too. The dealership keeps telling me nothing is wrong with my car.

Brakes are squeaking and sounds as though they are grinding. Need to push down to the floor in order to come to a complete stop.
My 2009 Aveo5 2009. My brakes keep going out. But I am having to replace my wheel bearings 3 times in last 3 years. I don't understand why. I am scared because the back one is now making lots of noise so I know it's another wheel bearing grinding. Is this considered in the recall of 2014 on Aveo 5 2009.

I was driving on a backroad going about 30 mph. My engine shut off causing me to lose my power steering and power brakes. I was able to get the car into a parking lot and pull my emergency brake. I then shut off and restarted my car. It started fine. It is now at a dealership where they can find nothing wrong. Although it is still stalling on them as well.
As a father I am writing this on behalf of my 18yr old daughter. This vehicle has lost steering, brakes and acceleration 3 times over 2 years of ownership. Each time has been at low speeds (2mph - 10mph) while driving at low speeds in traffic, the Aveo will loose the ability to accelerate, no matter how far the gas pedal is pushed down. The brakes only work slightly, and the pedal is hard push down. The steering is very unresponsive, similar to the brake issue it's hard to steer. While the above 3 issues happen at once, the engine is at idle. To fix, she has to turn the car off and restart.
The 2010 Chevrolet Aveo worked fine on 8/13/14. Drove it all day long with no issues, parked it while shopping for 1 hour. Car did not start when I came out to leave. Paid $125 get it towed to nightingale's auto tech & repair (12331 31 mile rd, romeo, mi 48065. 586-752-4514) approx 18 miles away, on 8/14/14. Nightingale's found blown 2amp ignition fuse (under hood) charged us $79. 18 & told us to take it to the dealership because they did not have the ability to fix it any further (on 8/15/14). We drove it to buy 2 amp fuses at a auto parts store 1 block away in case it happened again, which it did & we replaced the 2amp fuse again. We drove the car straight to the heidebreicht dealership a couple miles away & the fuse blew again trying to get it into the dealership service dept. , on 8/15/14. Today is 8/26/14, and the car is still at heidebreict's service dept, they do not know what the problem is. The service rep, chris, has told us over several phone calls that they couldn't find the problem & had to to call gm for consult. Chris c. Told me that gm recommended the tech should install 4 separate fuses just to troubleshoot, & I had to pay for that to find the problem. At this point, gm & the tech determined that the digital instrument panel was bad & the dealership ordered a new one. The dealership told me that my cost so far would be over $1360. They tried the new instrument panel& it did not correct the problem (fuses still blowing). On 8/26/14, heidebreicht's told me that gm told them to order another instrument panel & if that didn't work, then gm was going to send their engineers out to help them fix the problem. Our car has been down for this problem for 13 days now & there is no resolution yet, even from gm engineers. Are there any recalls, TSB's or anything on file for this issue? is it related to the huge ignition switch recall?. Gm should pay for this!!!.
Unable to move gear from park to drive over seven times mechanic informed failure in gear box also informed that this is a manufacturring defect.

Driving at about 35 mph and the car shut down. No power steering, no brakes and no throttle response. Had to use the emergency brake to get it slowed down and stopped. Took it to the dealer and they required a $100 fee to even look at it because it is a year newer than the ones on recall.
I put my car in park and it will not come out of park. I found out it was torque locked and had to follow all the steps from my manual and at the end it says get fixed ASAP. I have read that there are the same things happening to alot of Aveos 2008 and why is this not on the recall.
Driving and lost steering and brakes and ran into a truck. Tried to steer and stop and could not.
Overall, an excellent small car! my car has a brake problem when first started in the morning occasionally. There are no power brakes and you have to put both feet on the pedal to stop the car! knowing this(the pedal is super hard when you put your foot on the brake to put it in gear) I have been able to give myself plenty of room to stop and the condition has not caused an accident! this condition usually goes away after a few miles and the brakes return to normal! by the time I can get to a garage, everything is fine and it doesn't do it consistently! weather does not seem to be a factor and it only does it on startup after it sits overnight!.

For the last two years at random times when I start my car, the brakes will not work. They can not even be pressed down. Whenever this happens, a corresponding weird revving that causes the car to lunge forward in such a way that it doesn't usually also happens. I parallel park on a street daily, and one morning when this happened ended up hitting the car in front of me. Usually the problem stops happening after driving for about 1/2 a mile, but it is pretty scary trying to drive without brakes to get to that 1/2 mile mark. Especially since whenever the brakes won't work the car also seems to accelerate on its own. I have tried to get this fixed multiple times but it always stops happening by the time I get to the mechanic and I've left my car overnight at a mechanic twice and they haven't been able to recreate the issue. I can't part with my car for an entire week so that this problem can be diagnosed.

My passenger rear shoe broke in half. In the following months, approximately once every week to two weeks my springs and self adjust fall off. When the drum is pulled off they are either completely detached or hanging by a hair. They are not connected nor are they doing any good for the braking system. In the 7 months that I have had the car, I have had it worked on 18 or more times on the exact same brake.

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo. Exiting a driveway at low speeds of 5 mph, the contact attempted to brake but the brakes would not engage. She continued to apply abrupt pressure to the brakes until they engaged. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility where the contact was awaiting unknown repairs to the brakes. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were unknown.
I have a 2006 Aveo. Every since we bought it when you apply the brake it speeds up. It does not do this all the time. This last time I almost t-boned a truck. I stopped it by turning off the key and just avoided a wreck. Have you had any other complaints about this? I contacted the dealer when this first happened and they said that nothing was wrong with the car. After what has happened with Toyota I'm concerned.

: the contact stated while the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle shook. The dealership replaced the rear drums three times, resurfaced the rear drums, and replaced the brake system. These efforts have not corrected the shaking problem. Updated 05/16/2006.
Car type: Chevrolet Aveo 2005 model: LS sedan with 14" wheels since I purchased this car it has exhibited vibration in the front end and steering wheel while driving (above 50 mph) as well as vibration while braking. Car was taken into chevy to be repaired. Car still vibrates. Upon further research I discovered that many others have this exact problem. Chevy has been unable to fix this problem. Significant vibration while driving and braking (especially) is a safety hazard. Since chevy is either unwilling or unable to fix this serious problem I'm hoping the NHTSA will investigate this problem.
Brake pedal to close to the accelerator. Resulting in consumer to accelerate while attempting to stop.
