One problem related to air conditioner has been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Since day 1 when vehicle purchased, notice significant loss of power and tachometer jumps up and down with air conditioning on. This didn't occur when other Blazers were driven. Absolutely no pickup even at higher speeds. This creates a significant problem when in highway traffic. Engine check light came on at 1400 miles, stayed on. Brought in to dealer, claimed an evaporation problem and hose was "kinked" at a 90 degree angle. Supposedly fixed problem, yet still have significant power loss. Extremely poor gas mileage.
