Three problems related to carrier/rack have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Spare tire carrier located on the back of vehicle causes poor visibility when using rearview mirror. Dealer/manufacturer notified, and informed consumer that nothing could be done, vehicle meets specifications.
This outside tire carrier obscures nearly completely the drivers rear vision. I asked the dealer if there is a way to mount the tire somewhere else, they said no.
Spare tire which mounted on the rear cargo door, obstructs driver's view when looking out the rearview mirror , and if another vehicle is close to the rear of consumer's vehicle. Dealer and manufacturer have been contacted.
