Rear Suspension problems of the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer

Four problems related to rear suspension have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 09/10/2005

On sept 10 2005 I took my car to have a tune up done on it and the mechanic told my husband that the rear end of my vehicle was about to go. I had just purchased the vehicle about 7 months prior to this happening and I have been told that this should not have happened on a 2000 chev Blazer, with that low of mileage. I had notified the dealership where I purchased the car and they in turn wanted to put me into another vehicle but that is not what I wanted I had wanted them to fix my car the one that they had sold to me. I want to know if there is anything that can be done to get my car to run right, so that I may use it and not pay for one to sit in my drive way. And I wanted to find out if this happened to any other 2000 chev Blazers? sincerely yours susan burgos.

2 Rear Suspension problem

Failure Date: 11/12/2000

While pulling into parking place or backing up slowly, up to 5 mph , wheels stop moving. Vehicle shakes and bounces about 6 inches either way until wheels move again. Chevrolet refuses to take care of this problem.

3 Rear Suspension problem

Rear end launch/ shutter/ will move back and forth, causing extra wear and tear on universal joints.

4 Rear Suspension problem

Car wobbles (vibrates) at highway speeds. Feels like flat tire or tire going to fall off. Tire dealer says not a tire problem. Dealership recognizes a problem but doesn't have an answer for it.
