Battery problems of the 2001 Chevrolet Blazer

Three problems related to battery have been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet Blazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Battery problem

Failure Date: 10/26/2004

Battery leaks acid onto the engine compartment. As a result, while driving 65 mph, vehicle shut off.

2 Battery problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2002

Vehicle was stalling without warning and could not be restarted until a minimum of 30minutes had elapsed. Vehicle checked by dealer who determined original delco battery leaked through the battery tray and damaged the function of the vehicle's computer. Ts consumer stated the engine stills shuts off at times. The throw-out bearings were noisy. The dash lights become very hot after vehicle has warmed up. Door on fuel tank rattles when moving.

3 Battery problem

The vehicle displayed numerous electrical problems. * mr the door lock malfunctioned, the windows were noisy, the seat moved back/forth while driving,the windshield wipers were intermittent while in use, the radio clock blinked on/off, the fuel gauge was inoperative, the headlights were dim, and the battery leaked acid. The fuses and modules replaced, and would only work for a few minutes then quit. The consumer requested a new vehicle. Scc.
