Two problems related to power steering pump have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Upon coming around a slow turn at about 25-35 mph, the steering all of a sudden gives and slips further then you initialize it, which seems to me not safe. Also a friend with the same truck and year but a 4x4 does this exact same thing.
Power steering pump went out while driving. Dealer has repaired vehicle.
