Two problems related to steering failed have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Evo steering sensor failure.
Steering failure. Loss of steering at varying speeds. Wheel is extremely loose and unresponsive. Incidents occurred about 10 times prior to major occurance. Major occurrance nearly caused accident. Dealer replaced 'evo' sensor.
