Trunk flooded with water due to insufficient drainage. Factory radio amplifier and vehicle fuse box are covered in water as well as aftermarket amplifier I've installed. I have parts for inspection if needed. My safety could be at risk if this causes a fire hazard, but I am unsure if that could happen. Other safety risks to myself and other drivers could be present if tail lights stopped working or engine suddenly shutting off. These as well as other things could suddenly stop working if the fuses blow or corroded from water in the fuse box. This is a common problem amongst owners of this vehicle, and has cost large amounts to replace electrical components. My vehicle has not been inspected. I took the vehicle home and parked it after finding water in the trunk. No warning lamps or messages appeared. Symptoms prompting me to check started with radio suddenly going quiet. Followed my loud popping sounds from all speakers. Unknown amount of time before radio and sound symptoms occurred.

Before purchasing a 2016 Camaro last year I took it to a Chevrolet dealership for a safety inspection with no safety concerns found and after purchasing it around 57,000 miles went to another Chevrolet dealership to diagnose any electrical concerns occurring with the car that I noticed. There was nothing found but I still noticed humming sound and let them know and they found no concerns whatsoever. The battery was replaced twice as over the course of the year the electricals decreased in power. I then notified my insurance there was an issue with the car drawing power and it would not start. Upon checking the trunk noticed water had gotten into and possibly damaged the trunk/rear fuse block. I went through my insurance to fix any body damage but no electricals were fixed based on the insurance representative declining to accept liability for the damage and upon return of my vehicle, the repair facility started the car against my wishes and the rear fuse block in the trunk sparked and caused a fire to start in the trunk that continued for about a minute or two. Upon taking it to Chevrolet this year again after this, I was charged $800 for them to not diagnose anything but to say the x-connectors were burned up in the incident as well (I said this previously as this started the fire as it carries the currents from the fuse block) and to say they cannot find the source of the water leak/entry or replace the fuse block as the x-connectors and harness for the car, the first parts needed to be repaired to establish power to the car, have been discontinued. For more details on the cause, effects, and repair steps necessary but not been able to completed by gm/Chevrolet please refer to this service bulletin that I noticed was raised after I purchased this car upon researching the issue multiple Chevrolet dealerships, ignored, didn't notice, and now are saying cannot repair and should be followed up 18-na-375. Car is at ~70,000 miles currently.

The ignition switch shorted, a fuse shorted and these symptoms revealed a bigger problem. The holding area for the tire in the rear (does not hold a tire because of space issue) was repurposed by the manufacturer to mount the rear fuse box and amp. When the sunroof overflows or gasket allows moisture to build this area holds water. Unknown water source at this time but there is no drain for the water directed here to go out. Subsequently the electrical is exposed to water causing a fire hazard while driving or running. In my case it melted various relays and wiring harnesses but I was able to find before the fire started. This is also in the vicinity of the fuel tank causing an extreme hazard. When researching I found this model car there were many that had reported it. This could have been extremely dangerous fire while operating and is completely preventable with small alteration. Water should not be directed to this area if it will not have a way to vacate and they have repurposed the area in this way.
The back glass on my convertible few into traffic as the bonding agent failed and is a common problem with my vehicle.

-convertible back window popped out on right (passenger side), seal failed. A chevy repair shop acknowledged the recall but said they did not have technicians trained & were limiting repairs due to covid-19. -engine shudders, loss of power -electrical failure of usb connections in middle console.
I was driving down the highway and my rear bumper cover just ripped off on the driver side my sidemarker light went flying into traffic and my bumper was hanging on because of my license plate it was dragging on the ground by the license plate when it came off my car pulled to the left so bad that I thought my suspension system had given out I pulled over and found my bumper cover destroyed so I called my insurance company and they said it sounds like a maintenance issue and they will not cover it nor is it insurance I pay for full coverage collision and comprehensive now I'm stuck with a bill that is ridiculously high.

Convertible top rear window delaminates due to faulty design and/or insufficient bonding of glass to fabric material of top. This has happened to my car twice within less than a year. Top was replaced once and now I need it replaced again. Glass could potentially fall inward to injure a passenger or fall out onto the roadway or into a following vehicle. So far gm's solution has been to replace the convertible top with another defective top.
The convertible top had a recall on my car. I took it to the dealership and they kept the car for a while and replaced the top but immediately after I took it home the mechanical mechanism broke and haven't been able to use the top and no one has contacted me to replace the recalled top and motor to the convertible top portion.

The vehicle was driven to henderson Chevrolet (240 n gibson rd, henderson, nv 89014, (702) 208-9999), but they refused to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired and was no longer under warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 53,000.
My convertible rear window is detaching from the ragtop. My concern is that the window will blow out completely and cause an accident.
I was driving on the interstate, about 65 mph, and the phone charger caught fire and exploded. I stopped the car on the interstate to extinguish the fire on my person. The charger fell under the passenger seat, and caught the seat on fire. The whole car was consumed by the time the fire department responded to the scene.

I was headed south making a left turn onto 167th off of cicero ( busy street) and an oncoming vehicle struck me on the passenger side front quarter panel, then pushing my car over the median and into another vehicle and afterwards into a curb. None of my airbags deployed after basically four impacts.
I was driving during rush hour at 70mph when my axle shaft abruptly disconnected from the car. It was shaking violently, and I was unable to accelerate. I was only able to coast through three lanes of traffic to get the car off the road. I almost died when the person behind me almost drove through me when the shaft disconnected and the car suddenly slowed without the brake lights going off.
In 6/2018, I discovered that my car was beginning to corrode above the wheel well on the driver's side (my car was still 5 years old at the time of the discovery, but over 100k miles). Within one week, I took it to the dealer--at which I purchased it new in 2012--who confirmed that it was indeed corrosion and indicated on the written estimate that the "hem flange was not properly sealed from factory causing contaminants to enter and start corrosion on the left quarter panel. " the dealer quoted me $3,000 to repair the quarter panel. In 6/2018, I called gm customer service. I was denied assistance for the cost of the repair from the customer service managerial level. In about 7/2018, I contacted gm executives, which resulted in a denial of assistance from the Chevrolet executive resolutions team. In 8/2018, I made a bbb complaint and as a result received contact from gm's business division, who also ultimately denied me assistance. Moreover, the bbb has indicated that my car is not eligible for the auto line program due to # of years old. I also recently made a state of mi attorney general referral. I will upload the packet that I sent to the bbb which contains most, if not all, of the documentation I have to date (not including the bbb denial).
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that rainwater leaked into the vehicle on the front passenger’s side of the vehicle. The contact stated that they were unsure if the water was leaking by the rear seats of the vehicle. The contact could hear air entering the cabin of the vehicle and see some outside light entering through the top and sides of the convertible roof. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that the sound of air and hints of light entering through the seal of the convertible roof was normal. However, the leaking was repaired by replacing the seals around the roof. The contact stated the failure reoccurred during the next inclement weather. Currently, the convertible top failed to return to the upward position after being lowered. Several attempts were needed for the convertible top to return to the closed position. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the repair was not covered under a recall nor under warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 40,042.
My 2012 Camaro convertible developed leaks (holes) in the water management system of the convertible top. The damage appears to be done by the roof mechanical system. Dealer reports this is a 20 hour job and will cost a few thousand dollars to replace. My contention is that the design and build of the convertible roof is the root cause of the holes in the water management system and gm should hold some responsibility for this. The whole interior and electronic systems are at risk of failure and creates a safety risk to driver and occupants should the water get to the electric seats or any electric wiring under the carpet. . Also renders the car unsellable.
I was driving down the 680 freeway when my girlfriend and I heard almost like a gunshot sound right above our heads so we opened our sunroof cover to find out our sunroof was shattered. The tint on my window is luckily keeping it together for now.
Manual driver's seatback went forward on its own & stuck in forward position and trunk popped on its own while stationary. 2010 Camaro 2lt hadn't been driven over christmas break. While out strolling, my husband stops to crank the car since it had been sitting for a couple of weeks. He got in, cranked it. No trouble. A week later I went to drive it to work, used remote key to unlock doors and noticed the seatback was stuck close to the steering wheel. I tried latch on seat's back and side lever, but couldn't get the seatback to move. I called to tell my husband I was taking our other vehicle to work and asked if he'd raised the seatback the day he cranked the car for good measure. He didn't recall doing so. Later that evening, we went to look at the car together, used the remote to unlock the doors. He tried moving the seatback and couldn't. He noticed the trunk was popped and asked if I'd popped it. I didn't think so, but maybe I hit the wrong button when unlocking the doors. He slammed the trunk shut. We thought perhaps he forgot to lock the car and someone had rummaged through our car and jammed the seat. A brief online search revealed other Camaro owners w/ same issue. The seatback had gone forward on its own. I thought, if seatbacks are moving forward on their own what happens if someone's driving. Unsafe! I visited NHTSA online and saw pictures are helpful. I went home to take a pic. This time the remote didn't unlock the doors, so I used the key. After photos, I noticed that the trunk was popped again. No way I hit the wrong button, the remote wasn't working. I checked trunk and noted the inside lights weren't on. The car's battery had drained from the trunk being open for extended periods of time on two separate occasions. Seatback moving forward on its own and trunk popping on its ownnot a coincidence. Both are serious safety concerns.
My convertible top on my 2014 chevy Camaro leaked water in the rear passenger side. Gm said the passenger side door panel splash guard glue came off and the passenger side grommet was installed incorrectly. The service assistant said this "happens all the time with the Camaro convertibles". I would like the NHTSA to consider a recall for these issues and would like to request the number of reported similar problems that the NHTSA has received with regards to the same body style of chevy Camaro convertibles. Also gm refused to inspect for mold and never cleaned or replaced the carpet following the nonconforming condition. I believe this present a substantial danger to my family's safety and anyone else who rides in the vehicle. I live in alabama where mold grows profusely, which only serves to amplify the danger.

For the past year I have trouble taking the key out of the ignition when I park. I have to put the car on neutral or drive then back on park several times to get the key to come out. The body developed some dents on both sides which look like if I was in a hail storm, paid a few thousand to get the body repaired and the dents returned. Have that problem since I purchased the auto in 2014.
I recently purchased a 2010 Camaro ss with very low milage. I noticed some rust on the upper and lower impact bar. The upper bar is completly rusted through. I consider this a safety issue due to a front end impact. I understand the warrenty is 5 years 100k for body panels. Is there anything gm can do to repair this? please see the 2 attachments, the diagram is part #18, and the pic is the hole in the bar. The red color is grease that I applied to deter and additional rusting. I find this highly unusual because the car has been in florida the entire life span.
Loss of power steering & poor paint quality.

I parked my car around 815pm Sunday night 8/24/14. . Around 10 pm I went back to my car and got my papers out the trunk. Around 1 am my neighbor came to my door to let me know my car was on fire . . Before I was told my car was on fire I did hear a loud boom noise but thought it was a diesel on the highway.
I was driving the car to the gas station to get a drink. When I pulled in I shut the car off removed the key and locked the doors. When I came back out my car was on fire. Fire department had to be called to put out the fire. Fire depatment deamed the fire to be caused by the electrical system.
