It was a near-death experience as I waited at a red light in my 2016 Camaro. Out of nowhere, the car started violently shaking, and before I could react, I almost collided with the vehicle in front of me. The sudden loss of power left me stranded amidst honking cars, making the situation even more perilous. After being towed to the nearest dealership, they attempted to fix the issue with two transmission flushes, but the problem only escalated. The car is now a ticking time bomb, completely inoperable, and I fear that other drivers may have been in similar danger. According to the dealership, the root of the problem lies with the torque converter, a faulty component that could have catastrophic consequences if not addressed immediately.

Shudder in the transmission. My Camaro shudders between 40 and 50 mph. It had a recall and was taken in for the repairs. It was a transmission fluid flush and a change in the fluid. Something like that. The problem is shudder isn't fixed it was for a while but its back. There's definitely something still wrong with this. Is it causing the car more damage? I believe gm should repair all the recalled vehicles right! this is an issue and a huge nuisance. Shudder problem is still there!.

When operating the car it began to slow down. Once I approached a stop the car engine shut off. After a few minutes I was able to start again. After I drove through the light and proceeded home about 2 miles away from the initial stop, the car shut off again. It was sent to vandergriff Chevrolet in arlington, texas and the issue they said had something to do with a cam magnet- this was Nov 2021. Today- November 7 2022 the same thing happened as I was headed to the store. I dropped the car off yet again for repair. The service advisors didn't know how to fix it and had the car for two weeks. They expect to have it for another week to assess and diagnose the problem but the fact that the car has shut off more than 3 times is unsafe.

When I drive my knee turns the key, causing a the car to turn off. This is a safety issue that is concerning I am a mom. Every time my knee hits the part key while the car is on it turns the car off. The heater is an issue I have air but no heat. In order for me to fix the heater I told they would have to remove the entire window, but I would have to sign a waiver, because the window could break. Then they would have to remove the dash and another part in order to fix the heat in the car. This is in my opinion a safety issue I don’t understand how the heater could be fixed without causing the window in the car to possibly break. I was told the chances of the window not breaking in order to fix the heater in the car is nearly impossible. Which means I would have to buy a window and pay for labor in order to fix the heat in the car. 1. I have an ignition issue my knee is turning off the car when I drive. 2. Fixing the heat in the car is nearly impossible. 3. Please help check for recalls.
Every sense the car was bought from the dealership and it would rain the trunk leaks and holds water to cause electrical damage and problems. I took it back to the dealership and they said they didn’t see a problem but there was a problem. Currently I am so hurt to have a car I can’t drive under raining conditions and now my trunk smell of moldy and its problems due to electrical issues. The trunk leaked enough to cover the fuse box caused lots of electrical problems.
Rear window separating from convertiable. Local chevy dealer has inspected the car. Safety issue for others as it can come off while driving. Gm recalled 2017 & 2018 for faulty glue adhering gm headquarters has been contacted.

While driving I retracted the convertible roof and it wouldn't close. The "top secure" indicator came on, how ever it was not secure. This caused excessive attention off the road and since it was raining caused water damage. I took the car to cox Chevrolet in bradenton, FL. Service representative was ray ph# 9417492674. I showed him the picture of another customer with the same issue that had his car covered under recall. There must be a part or design issue if both sides have broken with exact similarities at different times and they are the identical parts. Ray said to contact cheverolet since the dealership cannot cover the repair. I contacted Chevrolet customer service at ph# 8002221020 and that rep said, your car is not covered because it was manufactured at a different plant location. I asked what does it matter which manufacturing plant it was if it's identical parts? the rep had no answer. They were going to charge me $745 to fix the issue. I explained, this car has already been here for the exact same issue on the driver side and you replaced everything because it was under warranty now it happens on the passengers side and your not covering the cost. Attached is the invoice from cox Chevrolet and the invoice with details of another customer.
The radio makes a loud pop & makes me jump as it goes on & off whenever it wants to. As this happens, the dash light turns off, the heater/ac turns off, the signal lights stop flashing, & when the turn signal is activated it makes a loud static noise that flashes through the speakers. It is a safety issue because it's distracting & it's dangerous for signal lights not to work properly. The car only had 60,000 miles when this began. I've been told there are computer chips, ecm modules, a new stereo with on star navigation & I honestly can't remember all that was tested wrong with the electrical system that is estimated at $1000 to repair. I have seen numerous complaints of the same issue on the web. I sincerely believe it is a problem Chevrolet is aware of & a recall should be made before an accident is caused.
Reduced performance/reduce clutch use.
When shifting the vehicle into park and attempting to turn off car, vehicle will give a message on dash “shift to park” when the vehicle is already in park. This issue can cause possible rolling of vehicle for not properly being in park. Power draining due to instruments not shutting down properly. Possible theft of vehicle due to vehicle not locking while exiting. You have to remove from park and shift back into park a few times so the computer can actually recognize that vehicle is in park. A lot of 2017+ Camaros are having this issue. Needs to be addressed because it can cause people to be stranded due to drained batteries or theft of vehicle because vehicle doesn’t lock properly due to computer thinking vehicle isn’t in park.

Loss of shifter to b. C. M. Shifter switch failure after turning off engine would say action required shift to park.
The rear window is separating from the convertible top on my vehicle. There is an NHTSA 10137486 for models up to 2017, but mine is a 2019 and doing the same thing as this.
1: convertible top needs replacement. The glass is separating from the actual convertible top. There is also a plastic trim piece that also breaks constantly. This part could fly off with the top down. The glass could also come off causing me and others to be at risk. The dealer has confirmed the issue but wants me to pay out of pocket when my car is used but only a year old. This is not the first time I have heard people have this issue. New cars and older ones need to be recalled and they need to fix these mistakes with manufacturing. It’s unacceptable and putting lives in danger. 2: rpm will flutter / fluctuate so I’m assuming it is an electrical failure. I have no idea exactly what is wrong which puts everyone at danger. I could have a car fire one day. Or maybe the car will just die on a freeway going 65+. The dealer has inspected and acknowledged the issues. They have yet to fix the rpm issue as they couldn’t and didn’t know what was going on. I have been waiting for a part that “may or may not fix the issue” for about 5 months now. But the convertible top as well as this rpm issue needs to be a recall. It is putting countless lives in danger every day. It’s time for them to take ownership of the problems. Videos of rpm issues will not upload but I have multiple videos.
Gm has a service bulletin about issue. It involves all 2016 to current Camaro convertible models. Back window that is sealed to the top just suddenly pops out. Rolling down window at highway speed while top up just pops out back window. The service bulletin states that and insufficient amount of primer is used during the assembly process. This allows the material to separate from glass. Window just pops out. Purchased car new November of 2018 with 50 miles on it. Car is garage kept and has less then 17000 miles. I am on my 3rd top. Gm will not cover the serious and potentially dangerous problem. Top right of passenger side window failed. Driving with top up and window open will further seperate glass from top and blow out. Car is not safe to drive with top up.
Stress fractures to the windshield. Fatigue, vibrations from the car snapped the windshield. This the fourth time since we had to replace a windshield.
I took my 2016 Camaro in to get checked out because bit was driving funny. Come to find out the sensor in the transmission was going out. After I put it in for the warranty, my screen , dash, and all the sound went out in my vehicle. The next day on November 27th my car battery drained out and I had to get it replaced. 2 days later on November 29th 2021 my car battery went out again and had to get another battery. So at this point something is draining the battery down so I changed the batter and noticed there was water in the trunk of my car after it rained. But didn’t think nothing of it. That same day I parked my car at work turned the car off and went inside the building. 45 mins later they said my car was on fire from the trunk. The fire department came and put the fire out… the fire and smoke cleared and the thing that caught on fire was the fuse box which is in the trunk and everything around it. I took my car to the chevy dealership clay cooley Chevrolet in dallas texas and they couldn’t figure out why it caught on fire and that everything was too burnt up to tell what happened alls they know is that the fuse box shorted out. I took my complaints to gm and they did an investigation. It took 2 months and I did not get a rental till 3 days before they completed my investigation and they didn’t search for one I had to go look for one . Then they told me that they are not going to help with the vehicle because the fire was located in the “luggage compartment space”. They said you can’t exactly tell where the fire came from because the fire burned everything up. Today they are telling me to give the rental back after just getting it 3 days ago and I’m without a car.
My 2014 Chevrolet the radio /air conditioning and a/c controls, overhead lightning and now the blinkers are popping cracking lighting up my electronics in the center console and it is very scary. The a/c clicks on and off my turn signals are effected and now I am having to get a jump to start my car and I have a 1 year new battery. I am afraid with this going on and it is a known problem for this car.
The key will not come out of ignition once car is in park. In the event of an emergency, driver no longer has access to keys, driver is unable to leave car, battery drains (electric issues are already an issue that GMC will not address) and in the event driver is inexperienced at mechanics- this could lead to multifactor injuries. Issue has been reported in other make/models for years, GMC refuses to address issue. In order to bypass this issue, owners must take apart steering column, release the anti-theft wire that enters the seliniod. Dealerships charge hundreds of dollars, sometimes never addressing the issue, to correct this problem. This key drains the electrical system, which will essentially cause complete failure to the car or a fire- which are happening more and more. A parasitic battery drain occurs due to this issue, resulting in consumers attaching trickle charging units (recommended by dealers). Instead of correcting the anti-theft wiring issues along with the switch blade key fob, a single key was issued along with the defective key fob and dealerships are asking owners to replace their "shifting units" to correct the issue of the key not coming out of the ignition. This is a safety issue that will lead to death; a car fire, a home emergency, a mechanical necessity require immediate need for keys, an internal combustion, a car parked in neutral or a car left running to avoid the hassle of not getting the keys out of the ignition.
Radio has been popping on and off for 4 years. Now it only works randomly. The heat and air will not work without the radio working and you can not hear blinkers going. There are thousands of exact same complaints for this vehicle… why is this not being recalled?.
When shifting the vehicle from 1st gear to second gear, the vehicle makes a grinding noise and struggles to go into gear. It seems to happen more often when trying to shift it when it is at a higher gear. All the other gears seem to never have a problem shifting.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated he purchased an aftermarket next gen speed set of smoked/clear taillights with amber signals for the 2016-2018 Camaro. The contact stated that the lights were flashing very quickly. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact was informed that there was no remedy for the failure.
Tpms system and remote keyless entry fails to operate correctly after installing new tires. Dealer was unable to resolve the problem even with a change to the keyless entry module. Gm reports that some tires have too much steel in the belts causing the signals to be blocked or be intermittent which can cause drivers to drive on under inflated tires. Failure occurs in any type of driving. Gm needs to replace the sensors with ones that provide a stronger signal to comply with the tread act.

The key gets stuck in the ignition. I have to turn the engine back on and put the car in drive, and then park and continue doing that process repeatedly until the ignition unlocks and frees the key. This happens almost every day.
The driver side door started making a knocking noise and the window would not shut all the way. The doors would start unlocking on their own and the driver window would try to roll all the way up unsuccessfully. The control panel would flash a notice that the door was unlocked and the interior lights stayed on while driving and when parked and engine turned off. One event lasted 45 seconds while I was driving on the interstate highway and another event while I was sitting at my local Chevrolet service center. This event happened while the remote key was sitting on the dash in service center envelope and the car was off. The doors started unlocking and locking and driver window started going up and down. Then all the doors locked with me inside of the car and I could not open the door to get out all while the interior lights stayed on. I recorded the events as they occurred but they are in ,mp4 format and I am unable to upload them.

I totaled out my car I flipped 8 times landed on all four of my tires. My airbags didn't deploy. . None of them.
2017 Camaro purchased car on February 2017; recently my car has been showing the check engine light every time I go over a speedbump or pot hole or anything. The check engine light will go away in a day or two after that. The third time the check engine light turned on, I got a reading done at autozone, showed it was transmission fluids or transmission sensor. Few days after that the check engine light turned off and took it to ed bozarth, where I purchased my car, service department. The service department was unable to detect for a whole week from 11/24/2020 to 11/30/2020 what was wrong with the car. They finally got back to me and stated my car is reading p0711 for transmission fluid senor performance and they need to replace two transmission harness. The service department is not sure how it happen or what caused it. I believe this could be part of the service bulletin:15111 special coverage.
The car sometimes will not start. Key fobs have been replaced new from Chevrolet dealer also new battery and multiple Chevrolet dealers can not find a problem but many times the car will not start.
Key continuously gets stuck when in park. Had to call locksmiths, mechanics and done several things with no resolution.
Transmission shudder. This is a common problem with this Camaro. A lot of people online are experiencing the same thing. The transmission shudders when driving it. Even after servicing the fluid etc. . . It has to be the way they designed the transmission.
My car mysteriously caught on fire. The fire department rule it as a electrical error.
