The warning light and message to "service airbag" illuminates when starting vehicle. The light remains on whether someone is seated in the passenger side or not. Replacing the battery did not solve the problem. I'm not sure if the system is operating correctly or not.

Ramiro mayorga owner of ideal autos sold me this car knowing he had a mechanic reset the mileage and break indicators and airbag indicators. The airbags are none functional I complained to the bbb but there was nothing they would do. He wouldn't take the car back & return my money. There are many defects. 10 minutes after we made a deal I gave him the check. I started to drive and the rims and tires were bad. The steering was even worse. The steering is not there it takes about 50 lbs. Of muscle to turn it the steering wheel. The were dented so where the car drives it bumps really bad. I tried to give the car back within the same 10 minutes and get back the bank check. . He would not return it. I left the car at his business for 3 days but he would not take it. He threatened me with the tow & police. He's a whole scammer. I did not and do not have money to hire a attorney & this has been a huge loss. The car is still in the same position at my residence since I brought it here. I maintain its oils & keep it running. I don't and will not drive it. I was not aware how bad the condition was until I could not return it. I had diagnostics ran on it and it showed where the warning lights & information were reset . I felt unsafe in the car I have not and do not drive it anywhere. Ramiro mayorga has done this people before he needs to be stopped. It happened 2759 delk road marietta, GA with scumbag owner & salesman ramiro mayorga. Ramiro mayorga ideal autos, llc 2759 delk road marietta GA 30067 770-639-5150.

The problem started out with the "service airbag" warning displaying on the information screen on the dash and the airbag warning light coming on when I had a passenger in the vehicle. According to the on/off light on the dome light the passenger bag is off when this warning comes on. Over the past month it has gotten worse and it progressed to just having the warning go off all the time now, even when I don't have a passenger. I have noticed that this is a recurring problem with the 2010 model airbag sensors going bad. I have seen many blogs that people are having the same issue with their airbag sensor. I have even read that this fix costs over $800 to the consumer. Since this is a safety issue and this will result in a failure of the airbags in the event of a crash and most likely deaths, I feel that gm should be responsible for putting a substandard part into their safety equipment and fix the problem. When you put into perspective how little use the passenger seat gets, because I only have a passenger in the car for maybe 5-10% of the time. So that means that I have only had someone in that seat for only 2500-5000 miles. That airbag sensor has had very little use and it went bad already. I fear that none of the airbags will deploy in the event of a crash, or even worse deploy while driving and then causing an accident.
