The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt. The contact stated that fuel was leaking onto the ground and there was a fuel odor present in the vehicle. The contact also mentioned that the fuel gauge reading level quickly displayed low fuel. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 122,000.
I purchased the vehicle new and there has been problems with the fuel gauge not registering full when it is filled up. Sometimes it goes to the 7/8 mark and sometimes it doesn't even go to there. They told me that it was a programming problem , and there should be an update for the computer. I took it in for the update and apparently it was not fixed. Also, the fan motor on the vent controls only works on high. I have had the car in to the dealer twice for this issue.
