1 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

Failure Date: 01/21/2016

Starting in 12/15, the traction control light was coming on intermittently, then also the abs light. Per mechanic advice, I had a wheel bearing replaced. After that, lights were off, then began again several days later. My mechanic said I should replace the opposite bearing to even out the traction sensor. 1/21/16 I was driving down a hill, tapped the brake, felt something lock up in the front end and careened across the road into some trees. I asked my insurance CO about this, and notified chevy too. Nobody seemed interested in pursuing the cause of the accident- totaled the car. Thank god I wasn't hurt badly and nobody else was involved. I know they don't want to bother with me because I am small potatoes. I feel I should at very least be reimbursed for the repairs I had done and pay for my new (used) vehicle for my trouble. I think my driving record, my familiarity with the road and the knowledge my mechanic has of my problem plus the fact that many others have had the same problems as I saw on line should provide me some help.

3 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt

Failure Date: 07/09/2014

Driving down the highway @ 55mph and the power steering cuts off, the power brakes cut off, the abs light comes on, the turn signals start going on and off at random, the gauges jump up and down nonstop. I just picked up my car and was told it referenced TSB#08-07-30-021 (NHTSA#10025402). The check engine light is still on because of this problem. The shop referenced the following error codes from the check engine light: p0575 u7300 u0121 u0140 thank goodness no one was behind me or around me at the time because I was unable to properly steer the vehicle, brake, or accelerate. This is a major problem that should be addressed by gm.

5 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt

The traction and abs light frequently comes on. I'm not sure if it something that I should be worried about, or if it is something that just happens.

6 Brake Abs Warning Light problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt

Failure Date: 08/17/2007

Abs light continues to come on first couple times dealer could not duplicate the problem. Finally light came on as I was leaving I called the dealer and told them I was coming right then before I shut my car off again for them to put it on the computer. Put car on comp, and got to codes both were something about a pump relay motor. Was fixed and then about 3 weeks later scheduled 3 rd appt for shaking problem and OH the abs light came on again. 1 st appt for shaking said rotors needed turned with 17000 miles told them I was not paying for it called gm 800 number told me I lived in a hilly area round flat area. Took it to another dealer and they turned them under warranty. 4000 miles later took it back for steering wheel shaking on Tuesday. Wednesday they called to tell me I needed 4 new tires, new pads, OH and new rotors, not under my warranty wrong again I will not pay for all of these new at 21000 miles crazy. Today Friday I called to check on my car and was informed that there 30 year technician and service manager have been on the phone with tech support for two days and they told them they were on their own. If these mechanics have to use a phone to get information about a car they are either not a very good mechanic or maybe we are relying to much on computers to run our cars.
