1 Anti-theft Controller problem

Failure Date: 10/04/2019

Ignitinion switch triggers anti-theft secure on truck so it would not start I wait for 10 minutes then it starts, dealership could not tell me a few years ago when I took it, and mechanics tell me its a defected ignition switch but only dealer can fix it, its a recall thing from what mechanics are telling me. Its a shame mechanics outside the dealership know more then dealership on what it is been recall.

2 Anti-theft Controller problem

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact was driving 35 mph when the vehicle stalled. The anti-theft warning light illuminated prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice. The manufacturer was contacted but the vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was unavailable. The failure and current mileages were 89,000.

3 Anti-theft Controller problem

Failure Date: 10/28/2010

My truck wont start do alarm or anti-theft system it crank but wont start.

4 Anti-theft Controller problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2010

The passlock anti theft system on my 05 chevy Colorado failed this winter leaving me stranded out in the cold for a half hour or more on multiple occasions. To reset it you must turn the key forward and wait ten minutes, then repeat that two more times before it will reset and then the vehicle will start. However it takes a special type of scanner that a dealership must plug into the internet to reset the code so unless you pay a dealership to do that you have to keep trying to start your car (up to a half hour of trying) for the next 100 ignition cycles. I had to do this in January and February this year in -10 to -30 degree weather and no chevy dealership would reset the code for less than $90.
