The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. While the contact was driving approximately 5 mph into an intersection, the engine stalled with the illumination of the warning indicator. There were several attempts before the engine restarted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who recommended the vehicle be diagnosed by the dealer. The vehicle was then taken to an authorized dealer where they stated to the contact that the timing chain, engine cylinder and head gasket would needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified and they offered a ten percent discount towards the repair. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 93,000. 2 Engine Stall problem

Failure Date: 09/27/2010

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. While driving approximately between 10-15 mph, the engine completely stalled due to electrical failure. The engine restarted after the contact waited five to ten minutes. The failure occurred four different times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and a diagnostic testing was performed twice which detected no trouble codes. The failure continued. The failure mileage was 48,500.

3 Engine Stall problem

Engine had a misfire and would stall sometimes when you made a tight turn at low speeds. Found out it had a bad value seat causing it to have the misfire. Gm messed around and wouldn't fix it. Red other people had bad value seats too. Spent my own money to get it fixed.

4 Engine Stall problem

2006 Chevrolet Colorado has a known defect with the camshaft actuator solenoid filtering screens dislodging from the part, that causes the engine timing to be affected and makes the engine idle rough and stall. This can create an incident or accident if the involved vehicle is in operation at the time of failure.
