The contact owns a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving 70 mph with the adaptive cruise control engaged, while the vehicle was approaching another vehicle from the rear, the vehicle failed to automatically slow down. The contact depressed the brake pedal to get the vehicle to slow down as needed. No warning light was illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a defective module, and that there was no replacement part available to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The approximate failure mileage was 2,100.
Mid December 2025 my forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and auto high beams all stopped working. I combined the repair request with my next oil change Dec 22, 2025. The chevy dealer, serra, advised me that Chevrolet had no way to correct these problems, one of which was a $950 option. I have returned to the dealer more times, still no fix. I have talked to Chevrolet customer service, asked for a buy back, or car to drive till repairs and was denied. Chevrolet simply says just wait till we figure out how to fix our broken truck. I feel serra Chevrolet has done all they can and has otherwise provided me with excellent service. Since the problems include safety features and I have waited over 4 months to date, I hope your agency can expedite the repair and secure some type of compensation for me.

Many warning lights are on for traction control, abs , brakes service esc, trailer braking and the adaptive cruise control system is not working, it was reported to the dealer, they checked it said bad battery, they coded it out said it is fine now on 9/5/25. It’s back at the dealer with all the same warnings on again.

Cruise control I was nearly in a severe accident because of the way Chevrolet cruise control works when I was on the highway and traffic slowed down briefly and my vehicle continued to run at the set miles and didn't slow down when I was approaching the vehicle in front of me. When I purchased the vehicle (2025 chev Colorado) I was not informed that 'gap' detection does not work as it does in most other modern vehicles. This feature is only available in higher end vehicles in what they call adapter cruise control. My pamphlet "getting to know your 2025 Colorado explains how to use acc with no mention it is an option only available on higher end vehicles. I consider it a safety hazard that cruise control in its normal setting does not use the gap setting as most modern vehicles do making it a safety issue, especially when you have a 2nd vehicle that works this way automatically. It was only after 2 service visits that I was told that how it works and that even though it is an option, it is not something that Chevrolet can install in my vehicle. Making it even more confusing the 'gap' setting is available on my steering wheel controls making the user think this option is actually available when, in fact it is not. I feel Chevrolet needs to fix this potential safety issue by making the cruise control work in the same manner other manufactures have done for several years.
Subject: urgent safety and usability concern – 2025 Chevrolet Colorado infotainment/instrument cluster failure to whom it may concern, I own a new 2025 Chevrolet Colorado, purchased on June 23, 2025. Just four days later, on June 27, both the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster went completely dark, rendering the vehicle unsafe and inoperable. It has only 78 miles on it. After researching the issue, I learned this is a known problem to gm and is addressed in service bulletin pit6362 released on 2 April 2025. The bulletin advises dealers not to replace hardware components as the issue stems from a software anomaly. However, there is currently no estimated timeline for a resolution. This leaves me — and presumably many others — with a an expensive investment that cannot be safely driven. Dealer is picking up the vehicle Monday June 23 but I have low confidence they know what to do. This situation is unacceptable. A total loss of vehicle instrumentation and infotainment severely compromises safety, functionality, and trust in the Chevrolet brand. It is alarming that vehicles with such a critical defect were allowed to reach customers. I am requesting the following: immediate acknowledgment and escalation of this case clear explanation of how gm is addressing pit6362 temporary or permanent remedy to restore my vehicle’s functionality compensation or alternative transportation options while the issue persists a case number and point of contact for follow-up my question is how gm can continue to sell these defective vehicles knowing someone could, quite literally, get killed.
The components failing are the (adas) components. Specific concerns are with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, front facing detection camera, and blindside detection. The front facing camera will randomly deactivate prompting a message to check for obstructions as a possibly reason of failure. Upon checking, and also wiping the lense, there is not obstrution. Blindside detection operates at random and at times will stay on for a sustained period without any vehicles near or around my vehicle. This is especially bad at night because the light is extremely bright and directed into the drivers vision. Adaptive cruise control will falsely detect vehicles or objects that are not present and implement emergency braking before recognizing there is no vehicle/object and then speed up. Sometimes this will happen consecutively in repetition. This is especially concerning because it has happened at interstate speeds as well as highway speeds with traffic behind me during the day time. It would brake aggressively taking my speed from 65 mph down to 40 mph and the change to a wide open throttle to regain speed only to brake again. Sometimes it will just keep slowing until I turn off cruise control. All of this happens without notice or indication other than the blindside warning lamps during its failure. It has happened often enough that I can not use the cruise control confidently. I have had it into the dealership for inspection and they claim there were no codes and could not reproduce the symptoms during a brief test drive. They however inform me that the front facing camera mentioned earlier does all the sensing for these components but did not get a reaction from it. I do experience one or more of these problems daily. I have also experienced false pedestrian warnings from the system early on but that has not happened for 3 months currently. I welcome requested inspection to hopefully get this fixed for my safety and those around me.
Advanced cruise control system has twice applied the brakes when the road was clear ahead. First time was not a problem other than surprised me. Second time I was almost rear-ended by car behind me. Fortunately, only resulted in a dirty look from other driver. Could have been much worse. I have since DE-activated the advanced cruise system. My dealership is in process of diagnosing the problem.
1. Other: turn signal - when turning right with the signal activated, once you straighten the wheel, the turn signal stalk will reset to the middle but will activate the left turn signal. 2. Adaptive cruise control - for no reason the brakes will activate, there is no vehicle in front and the windshield is clean. 3. Blind spot warning - these bsw indicators will go off at random with no vehicles beside mine. This occurs more at night, but does happen during the day. When this happens at night the yellow indicator is so bright that you cannot even see what might (or is not) in your blind spot. This faulty indicator is going to get someone hurt as other drivers with the same issue might over correct.

#1 adaptive cruise control suddenly brakes when there are no vehicles ahead. #2 after completing right turn with right turn signal flashing the left turn signal is activated and flashes three times.
Signal on to turn right. Turn completed and left signal turned on by itself. Driving on freeway, cruise set 65mph, lane keep assist turns off without warning. Veered into shoulder unexpectedly.
Dash cluster initially went blank while driving and there was no speedometer or console. The vehicle alarm was also reported as going off in the middle of the night without anything around the vehicle. I took it into the dealership and they replaced several parts including the dash and radio components. They also performed a front camera recall repair. A few weeks later after driving around 250 more miles, we were driving in traffic around 50 mph when all of a sudden the vehicle came to a complete stop with no foot on the brake and injured my husbands neck and my wrists from how abrupt the stop was. The vehicle basically shut down and had to be restarted several times to get it to start back up again. Had roadside assistance tow it into the dealership again and they said that it happened during their test drive of the vehicle as well and was beeping and stopping at shadows on the ground. They drove it about 65 miles before it did it again. They returned the vehicle to us, unable to repair the issue and the gm technical engineer told them to just turn off all of the safety features in the console and that I would have to make sure they were turned off before driving the vehicle every time or if it lost power. They turned off the emergency braking controls with this action. Asked me to also adjust the gap to mid for object detection. They replaced the front camera with the recall and it still did not fix the issue. They told me that my truck does not have adaptive cruise control but the devices were acting like I did. I don't know if this is true or it is just another excuse. Note- this is the 2nd chevy Colorado that I have had in 6 months with same issues as the dealer replaced the first lemon after 2 months.
About 4-6 times while traveling a 170 mile stretch of I-25 from castle rock to trinidad CO the vehicle will automatically brake from 75 mph to 65-70 mph when using adaptive cruise control. There is nothing in the road ahead of the vehicle. The automatic braking then releases and the speed resumes to 75 mph. This has happened on each trip since the purchasing the vehicle new in October 2023. Most recent incident was 04/04/2024.
I like to have metric units active in my vehicle and this Colorado enables me to switch to metric (I. E. 24h clock, temperature in celsius, mileage in km,. . . ) it is my understanding that, in the us, this function is allowed but the current speed must also always be displayed somewhere. This is not the case. When switching to metric all units everywhere switch to metric, also the current speed is not shown anywhere in miles, so I can never make sure that I am not exceeding the speed limit. It also affects the cruise control function as, also there, I can not see the speed in miles per hour. I have brought up this topic to the manufacturer and was told "working as designed" I think this needs to be addressed with the manufacturer and a sw update needs to be released to keep at least one display always on miles when going to metric units.

I have a 2018 Colorado 4x4 with 51k miles. Purchased with 28k. When driving at normal highway speed, get drive train shudder when increase torque is needed (hill, ramp, etc. ). Only happens in overdrive. When tow/haul is activated shudder does not occur. It feels like transmission and/or drive shaft is about to fall off. I have not attempted repair due to numerous concerns voiced on this site and class action lawsuit now in progress. No warning lights or messages.
