I have a 2005 chevy Colorado and I cannot get the spare tire to release from under the vehicle. I have followed all manufacturer instructions and several other people have tried to remove the spare as well. This is absolutely ridiculous as I live in a cold climate and could be in an emergency situation and unable to change a flat tire because the spare will not release. Definitely poor engineering.
