The headlights flicker/pulse creating visibility issues at night. This occurs when the heated seats are activated. This is a safety concern for myself, passengers, other drivers, and pedestrians. Flickering lights can cause an accident due to poor visibility and the creating of false shadows. This would also hinder the ability to see pedestrians. The problem was reproduced at the local Chevrolet dealer, they said they would contact Chevrolet, at my insisting. Initially they told me I should replace the stock halogen light bulbs with aftermarket led bulbs at my cost. They said it is extremely unlikely that gm will do anything to rectify the issue because from the design standpoint of the vehicle everything is operating within its standards on paper. The manufacturer has initiated a case. There are no warning lights of any kind. This is a 2025 with 2,300 miles.

When using heated seats and heated steering wheel the headlights randomly pulsate and dim - dangerously impacting driver night-time vision / visibility and confusing / disorienting other drivers. Ongoing issue. Happens every time headlights are utilized in conjunction with heated seats and heated steering wheel. Occurs at idle and at speed. Chevrolet refuses to acknowledge, address, or remedy the issue. Has not been remedied to date. Videos available.
Sunroof exploded while driving down the highway. Glass shattered everywhere in the interior as well all over our child car seat. Fortunately I was the only person in the truck at the time. Due to the violence of the incident I had to gain control due to the sound and flying glass. Had all windows and sunroof close with the ac on. Was going approximately 65 mph. Clear sunny day. I have more photos and video if needed. Dealer has been contacted and they will replace the sunroof under warranty.

The heating cooling blend door broke as it's made of cheap plastic. Doing research on this defect it's very common . . . In this year vehicle as well as in the GMC canyon. . . It's a manufacturer defect. And makes it impossible to defrost/defog your windshield without fixing it. . . And average cost to replace is 1700. 00- 2300. 00. . . Due to labor cost. . . Part itself only costs around 100. 00. . . . That's an astronomical amount of money to fix something. . . That is a defect and you can't safely drive without it!.
On June 29, 2024, I discovered that the backup camera on my 2023 chevy Colorado was malfunctioning. Regardless of whether I was operating the vehicle in reverse or manually activating the backup camera, it remained inoperable. On the same day, I made a reservation with my local Chevrolet dealership in elko, nevada, to have the backup camera inspected. I took the truck to the dealership on July 19 for a repair under warranty. However, the technician informed me that the issue could not be resolved and believed it was a harness that had become pinched and required replacement. The dealership ordered the necessary part but was unable to provide an estimated time of arrival (eta). As of December 1, despite my efforts to resolve the issue with both the dealership and gm’s corporate entity, I have yet to receive an eta or any parts for repair. According to the national highway traffic safety administration (NHTSA), backup cameras are mandatory safety equipment for vehicles manufactured in 2018 and newer. I have brought this matter to the attention of gm and the dealership, but it appears to be unaddressed. The design of the truck makes it challenging to see behind, and the inability to perceive potential hazards in the rear poses a safety risk. Gm has failed to address this issue, despite the fact that it is a critical safety feature.

I purchased a new 2024 chevy Colorado z71 a few weeks ago. The windshield has some manufacturing defects. There are rings inside the glass that cause bad glare. I have tried using window cleaners but the rings are inside the layers of glass. I had the dealership inspect the issues and they confirmed there are flaws in the windshield. Dealership is trying to work with gm on the issue.
Wipers works 95% of the time. However, they randomly will not work some times and the time varys from 10 minutes to 12+ hours before they start to work again. This issue has been present since I bought the truck in July 23 and I've taken it to the dealer a half a dozen times for this issue but in all cases except once the wipers started to work before the tech could diagnose the problem. The one time they were able to work on it while it was not working they determined the lighting control module had reported failures. They replaced the module but I again experienced another incident where the wipers stopped working for 12 hours - this occured during the weekend when the dealer was not open. Dealer keeps stating they cannot replace parts unless they can prove something is broken so every time I drop it off even with video proof they say they cannot replicate the issue and send me on my way. A tac case has been opened with gm and am awaiting feedback. The first time this happened I was driving 70+mph on a highway when a sudden storm hit. I went to turn wipers on and they did not come on. I had to roll down the window and stick my head out to see to exit the highway.
Windshield wipers in-op. Driving in heavy traffic at highway speed. Down poor started and windshield wipers failed to operate nearly causing accident.

We reported issues with our thermostat to our dealer back in September of 2022. The vehicle would not defrost or heat. We were then told the thermostat required replacements but there was no part in existence and they would notify us when it became available. After following up numerous times with no actionable timeline from the dealer we consulted with a secondary mechanic who confirmed the issue was related to a thermostat sensor malfunction and would require a replacement thermostat. Again we were told that the item was not available from gm and we would be contacted when more information was available. A spac case was created by our dealer in October of 2022, notifying the system of the urgent need and our dealer has followed up numerous times that gm has not provided any timeline for replacement. I have also filed a separate claim in January of 2023 to gm customer service notifying them of the ongoing issue and escalating to upper management. I have not heard back on mitigation or rectification plan for our issue. This ongoing issue is a major safety concern that has rendered my vehicle unfit for operation. I am unsure why gm is not making this major safety concern a priority because we are now in the middle of a chicago winter we’re temperatures are regularly below freezing. I cannot defrost my windows or maintain a safe cabin temperature. This is unsafe for me to operate let alone use the vehicle to transport my child because of the immediate danger it would place her and I in. I am now paying for a vehicle that has sat inoperable in my driveway for 4+ months with no end in site and opening is up to additional damages because it has had to remain inoperable for an extended period of time.

The windshield is defective - within a month of owning this new truck one strike against it (while on the highway) (our first windshield strike) broke it very significantly - cracked throughout. I am about 60 years old and have owned many, many vehicles - we have never seen a windshield break so fast and so severely. We did an internet search and there are many other chevy Colorado owners that have made the same observation - many are saying it is cheap, unusually thin glass for fuel economy or for less expense, others say chevy has not installed their windshields with the proper amount of adhesive behind it. Owners say the after market replacement doesn't easily break on impact like this factory original windshield does. I am not a scientist - all our family knows is that it was not safe to have this factory windshield on this new truck and we don't feel safe driving the vehicle with a windshield that doesn't protect us properly while on the highway. This was only one impact on the glass and the whole windshield is damaged significantly to where you can feel the sharp edge with your finger from the outside of the vehicle. There are other issues with this 2 month old truck but this windshield is a safety issue for all concerned and these trucks need a TSB or recall for owners that have this defective, flimsy windshield.
It's occurred twice and I recorded it the second time. The infotainment display goes to a green multicolored pixelated screen and doesn't allow me to see what is behind me. If I can't see like I'm supposed to with the reverse camera technology, would this not be a safety concern if a child, or handicapped person -blind, deaf, or both- got behind me somehow?.

Wavy windows in all 4 doors on a brand new 2021 chevy Colorado. Dealer won't replace glass, windows are all misshapen and have specks throughout all the windows. Makes it hard to see at night while driving.
I was driving in a heavy rain storm, on the highway, and the right windshield wiper just stopped. A few minutes later, the left wiper stopped working. I was able to move to the side of the road, since I couldn't see to drive, and I could hear the motor working, but the wipers were not moving.

Vehicle shutters between the speed of 15mph to 35mph shaking vehicle very bad. Leaking back sliding glass, no sealant around glass dealer had to replace back window new mounding and sealant. Carpet in back is soaked with possibility of mold. Dealer did not make any effort to clean carpet or headliner when rear window was repaired. The headliner had a bad stain and was superficially cleaned, leaving possibility of mold in the future. The carpet and floor mats were not cleaned leaving possibility of mold in the future. Poor service in this area.

The specific problem is visibility out the windshield either because of how the windshield is shaped or because of the position of the west virginia inspection sticker placement in the lower right side of the windshield. My wife is 5'3" and I'm 5'8" tall and the inspection sticker clearly creates a visual safety issue. I contacted wv dmv about his safety issue and they referred me to the wv state police. The state police say the state law requires the inspection sticker be place in the lower left of the windshield. I contacted our state senator and have not heard back. The law should be changed. The way Chevrolet design and manufactured the windshield does make where the inspection sticker is place become a safety issue. If any stickers of such size are placed on the lower left side of the windshield, they become an issue. I don't know the best way to resolve this issue; however, willful ignorance or neglect is wrong. Safety must come first. I think the wv state law is obsolete for new vehicles with windshields of this shape. This is clearly a safety issue. If you are unable to help us, please refer us to someone than can. Thanks.
I live in illinois I bought a 2016 chevy Colorado. I did not know at the time this truck did not heated mirrors. Last year I was driving on the highway in freezing rain I had to pull over to clean the mirrors. , I thought all vehicle's came with heated mirrors. All manufacture's should be made to put heated mirrors on all vehicles. For safty!.
My windshield wipers started working intermittently, working, not working, and only working on the high setting. This would happen while I was driving in the rain, almost forcing me to pull over. Finally, my wipers stopped working all together on all speeds accept for the highest speed. At the same time, my ac/heater fan stopped working on all speeds accept for the highest speed. I searched online to find out what the problem was, and I came across a lot of complaints on the same issue. It seems that these trucks have a defective brain that causes this potentially dangerous problem. I was quite surprised to find that this systemic problem has not already been recalled. That is why I decided to file this complaint. Thank you.

Defroster does not engage until engine is reved to 1,800 r. P. M. Dealer mechanic says it was engineered that way.
Defroster system is inadequate to clear windshield and side windows in outside temperatures below 20 deg. F. Driving is unsafe because visibility is reduced to a 20 in. Zone forward only. Side vision is completely blocked. The Chevrolet dealership service department is unable to fix the defroster, and informs me that even brand new Chevrolet Colorados on the sales lot have the same problem. The problem exists when the truck is stationary and just as badly when it is moving down the highway.
On Wednesday February 24th I was driving home (north on I-75 in michigan) from work, the truck had 2-3 inches of snow on top of the truck and truck cap because it cannot be reached due to the height of the vehicle. Traffic was moving at ~ 10 miles per hour due to road conditions and my wipers were on (medium speed if I recall correctly), traffic stopped suddenly and all of the snow from the top of the truck immediately slid forward and covered the windshield. At this point the wipers were essentially buried/ jammed due to the amount of snow and the windshield was completely covered while I was on the expressway. Had the conditions been slightly better I could have been doing well over 10 miles an hour and the result would have absolutely been a collision which could have involved many vehicles. In the past wipers would always continue to move back and forth in a situation like this until the windshield was eventually cleared, my wipers would not even attempt to move, fortunately due to the low speed I was able to get to the shoulder of the expressway to clear the snow. I am very concerned to drive in bad weather now due to the risk of a collision as well as the potential risk of being on the side of the expressway in bad conditions clearing the windshield. Please investigate as the winshield wiper motor should not be protected at the cost of the vehicle and its occupants!.
