Turn Signal problems of the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette

1 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 03/04/2013

Turn signal indicator began flashing rapidly to indicate the turn signal was not working properly. The front turn signal was not working. The turn signal bulb melted the internal socket so the internal harness system needs to be replaced. Chevrolet needs to issue a recall to change the specifications used for the turn signal light bulb so they do not melt and ruin the system.

2 Turn Signal problem

Failure Date: 01/18/2011

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact was driving approximately 60 mph and as he attempted to engage the left turn signal prior to changing lanes, the turn signal failed to operate. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they informed him that the turn signal bulb had overheated and caused the wiring harness to melt. The wiring harness, turn signal bulb and socket were replaced. The failure mileage was 19,617. Updated 03/24/lj.
