On several occasions the vehicle would not shift out of park. It is an automatic transmission and it just becomes "frozen" in park mode. For instance- while waiting in a long line at the bank, I decided to shift out of gear until the line moved. It wouldn't budge. If an emergency situation arose- I would be unable to move. Many other Corvette owners are experiencing this same problem. Some of them have done a "fix" that bypassed other equipment and could be dangerous. My car only has 27,000 miles on it - this should not be happening! many of the other affected owners have gone to Chevrolet and have gotten the run around, because they say they need to see it happen in order to fix it. Well it happens randomly so that is a little hard. I think the problem is with a solenoid or safety feature that hangs up. Please help. I am a girl and I need a car that doesn't leave me stranded all the time!.
Shifter at times is stuck in park, 2007 Corvette auto-transmission shifter at times is stuck in park. Have to restart engine and press down on brakes several times or shut off engine press access.
