Automatic 6-speed transmission with auxiliary paddle shifters on steering wheel. When the car is stopped and in park, the console stick shifter gets stuck at random times after car has been stopped/parked and I can't put the stuck shifter into gear (it won't budge out of park). If the vehicle has been stopped and put into park momentarily in a hazardous area, e. G. , a railroad track, and if the shifter stick is stuck in park, then the vehicle can not be moved off of the track until the shifter can be moved and the drivetrain engaged. Turning the engine off does not help. The amount of time before the running car with stuck shifter can be put into gear seems to be random, I. E. After the engine has been running for a minute or so. The dealer who sold me the car seems to be aware of other complaints of this nature from Corvette c6 a6 owners.
I start the engine with my foot on the brake the shifter is stuck in park, I turn the engine off tried starting after 5 minutes same thing unable to get it out of park.
