The contact's finance leased a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that the vehicle would wobble uncontrollably upon hitting a bump while driving at high rates of speed without warning. The contact took the vehicle to Chevrolet 112(2096 NY-112, medford, NY 11763) where a mechanic informed him that they were aware of the failure; however, there was no remedy for the defect. He was also informed that they would have an interim repair for the failure which they would release in the first part of 2021. The contact then informed the dealer that he no longer wanted to lease the vehicle; the contact was then directed to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and gave him the same information as the dealer; they offered no further assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 3,500.

After heavy rain fall, I noticed water in front floor board of both driver and passenger side, after looking the glove box is also full of water. I do not see any leaks on either door, or the windshield area. This is a huge safety concern if driving.

The other day it was raining slightly and I was at my friends house. Later when I left it was raining harder so I was using my wipers and when I had gotten 5 mins down the road my windshield wipers stopped working and it caused me to lose control because I could not see a thing. When that happend I hit something and was in the grass a bit. Now I have a chunk of my bumper gone and a headlight out cause of what I hit. Which I really dont know what it was I hit. Now my wipers dont work, a chunk of my bumper is gone, as well as some plastic under my car came off.

I have recently went to a garage for a simple oil change and to see if I could install a hitch kit. Come to find out the frame itself is rotting internally to externally. This stirred up some concern because I need an inspection come June of this year and it will not pass inspection due to the rot. My chevy Equinox is only a 2012. Being that I've only personally had this vehicle for a year, and it is only 8 to 9 years old, I was informed that this kind of rot that exists is bad. I found this out just this past week.

I purchased the 2020 Equinox SUV. Immediately leaving the dealership after a heavy rain the SUV wasn't able to stop when I applied the breaks & approached a stop sign on a major highway and I was struck on the driver side of the car. I woke up in a trauma center in springfield mo. The vehicle had 84 miles on it. $17,500 in damage not including serious injuries not just to myself but the car that struck me. I was also sited a ticket from the missouri highway patrol for failure to stop at a stop sign, though I applied the breaks with enough force to stop the vehicle. I still have problems with the breaks in wet/cold climates. It's terrifying.

The latch that holds the door shut keeps coming loose. I have tightened it numerous times but still keeps coming loose. It has troubles keeping the door shut and secure. The bracket will turn so the door won't shut at all sometimes.

Traveling straight on city street, 30 mph, was t-boned in center of driver's side door. Side airbag did not deploy? damage to both doors, center and lower pillar, and the traction control bar bent. Concussion and bruising from inside pillar to driver. Driver was wearing seat belt at time of collision.

April 26, 2019 the engine in my 2008 chevy Equinox sport locked up. The vehicle was towed to midwest tire & auto in the cicero,IL for engine replacement. A week after retrieving my SUV on June 20,2019 from the shop it had an excessive engine oil and power steering fluid leak and it caught fire. While the occupancy of my wife and 3 children ages 7,4, and 2 were within 11 miles of travel from our residence along the highway. I recently bought a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox and the floorboard is staying wet, like standing water. I've researched the issue and it appears this is an ongoing issue with them. This is a safety hazard as it makes it feet wet and slip off the break and gas peddles. Why hasnt gm fixed this? not to count the electrical part involved! can we say fire hazard?? come on gm, do your job!.

I started noticing that water was soaking the floor mat on the drivers side of the car after it rained or I went through a car wash. I took the car to a repair shop and they notified me that the bottom of the car is not welded properly from the manufacturer, so the space where it should have been welded together has left holes on both sides of the bottom of the car. These holes provide an area where water leaks into the car and continuously soaks the floors. There is also information from gm that states other 2010 Chevrolet Equinox cars have had this same problem, so it is clearly a manufacturing problem.

Windshield was not properly sealed from the manufacture. While driving on the interstate, seats and mirrors randomly moved. At one point the seat was so close to the steering wheel, causing husband's stomach to touch the wheel. Thus causing the inability to turn and control the steering of vehicle. Mirrors moved randomly out of position, causing inability to see blind spots while driving on the interstate. I purchased this car on 5-15. This first incident occurred 5-24. The second incident happened 6-10 again while driving. The rain inside the unsealed windshield caused corrosion on electrical wiring and connections. There is corrosion also inside the body. This brand new vehicle is rusting from the inside out. There will always be issues with this car either electrical or body.

The contact used the spare tire and drove the vehicle to a tire facility to purchase a new tire. The mechanic discovered that the frame and components were severely rusted and the control arm was fractured. The vehicle was deemed unsafe to be driven. The vehicle was not repaired. Chevy Equinox 2014 blew a rear main seal at 88,610 miles after being told is excessively consumes oil. I heard a pop and the low pressure indicator appeared. No indicator was present to show I had low oil at the time of the vehicle leak starting, so I was left stranded on the side of a highway for about 3 hours in -10 degree weather. This was a "common issue" in these models and I was told I must pay 1,800$ to repair it as there are no recalls out on this particular model. The engine completely ate my oil and neglected to inform that it was doing so and it was low, resulting in me being stuck in my car with no heat.

Due to the bumper beinv so low it constantly hangs up oncu on curbs. 2 weeks after owning my 2014 Equinox I parked and eent ti to a store. I heard nothing when I parked but as I backed up I heard a scrapping sound. Upon inspection I found the bumper had been stuck on the concrete parking block. Because the whole front is one piece it had pulled away from the light on the passenger side. This piece is attached mainly by little plastic teeth that fit into little plastic squares. The dealership said it would cost $400 to replace the bumper because the little "teeth" had broken off. I could push it together with very little effort. It reminded me of the plastic model cars I used to build.

While driving on freeway sunroof of panoramic roof shattered and glass fell into car. This was not caused by an accident with any vehicle. I was never hit by any object to cause sunroof to shatter. Weather conditions were dry, cool, and cloudy.

My son was in an accident oct 26, 2018 @ approximately 7:30 pm. . He was turning left on highway rt. 50 in mt. Storm, wv with signal light on to pull into a parking lot. A truck driving at a high rate of speed from behind attempted to pass him on the left even though my son was already turning left. The truck hit directly on his front left tire by a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. The frame was damaged and we are unsure of additional damages until the insurance adjuster inspects it. The side airbag did not deploy resulting in my son hitting the side window and diagnosed with cervical sprain. Driver was drinking and admitted to driving 65-70 mph. Police report was filed and firefighters arrived.

We were driving on I-75 at 70mph. We heard a loud noise and pulled over on the side of the highway. Got out and discovered that the rear panel above the bumper on the driver sad had torn off. We did not hit anything and we believe it just blew off the car. We filed an allegation with gm and were denied. On the phone the customer service person said that we were denied due to prior bumper damage. There was no prior damage and gm will not put it in writing why they denied our claim. Also they will not give us a copy of their report or the independent investigation report saying that it is private. We were lucky that the part did not hit anybody behind us as that could have been disastrous. Nobody else pulled over behind us, so we have no witness as to what happened.

Takata recall I was involved in a car wreck on a city street. My car was totaled and not even one airbag deployed. It was a front end collision. I was traveling east about 20-25 miles per hour and s vehicle ran a stop sign going excessively fast. I hit the passenger side of her vehicle. My vehicle spun around 90 degrees and ended up in a ditch hitting a stop sign on drivers side door. Front of my Equinox was totaled.

Mice get in dash area and use the insulation to build nest on top of the cabin air filter. If the mouse chews through the paper filter and runs up my pants leg, there will be a safety problem.

In my 2014 Chevrolet Equinox, noontime, Sunday, sitting at red light pointed west, three lane road, waiting to cross 7 lane road, got the green light, proceeded forward up to maybe 10mph and got to about 2nd lane of 7 to cross intersection, then wham, I am hit in the intersection, left side just in front of front wheel, by car that ran red light at full speed going north, basically took front of my car off, spun me 1 3/4 times to now face south, the air bags did not deploy, my body left side head, shoulder and hip hit the left side interior even though my seat beat was on (was dazed and had help getting belt off) and received concussion, neck injury, hearing difficulty, accelerated memory loss issues, damaged shoulder, hip troubles, bouts of unexplained outbursts from little anxiety stimulus, heightened startle response, nightmares, and severe trouble controlling anxiety that were all not present prior to the crash. The car was totaled immediately by the insurance company, and even though witnesses saw that I had the green and that the car that hit me at a 90 degree and estimated to be doing 35-50mph while running the red light, the attorney was unable to block the quick disappear of the vehicle and the police investigators crash site notes and report was very incomplete and wrongly documented the accident. My concern is that I have lingering pains, hip trouble, still low pain left side head, neck tensions, new memory issues, severe anxiety attacks that cause over 220 bp and panic breathing issues, and new struggles with mobility I did not have before the crash, and that with horrific impact that spun me nearly 2 times around, took the front of car, declared total loss -- why did none of air bags go off in this 2014 Chevrolet Equinox this accident crash June 24, 2018 ??? attached 5 pics my vehicle next day +crash sketch +florida dhsmv crash report me&my car. 2018 Equinox premier sunroof gave out on me 5 weeks after purchasing brand new. Gm has had my car for 3 months and has not found a fix. It doesn't matter if the car was stationary or motion. The sunroof and the privacy screen will stop opening/closing. They have replaced all the wires and the entire sunroof and new motors and it still doesnt work. Gm customer care is not working with me and says that basically they won't have a time when I will get my car back. They aren't helping me with a trade in either. The dealership is helping me (bravo at las cruces nm). But gm themselves aren't taking any responsibility when it solely is their responsibility. I have heard of atleast 8 other cases online with the same issue. Some were fixed with a computer reboot but mine cannot get fixed whatsoever.

More than once while driving I have gotten power steering warnings while driving, vehicle locked up in the process and took all of my might to turn and get to the side of the road. I have constant oil changes and was issued a recall letter that the oil censor was off last may and the dealership said no such recall existed. Recently my mechanic says the timing is off, an engine power reduced warning has come up more than once and I have stopped driving the car all together for fear is stops with my children and myself in it. The first time it came on two weeks ago, I was at an incredibly busy intersection and could not go over 20 mph, it was as if I was driving in neutral. I took myself and children straight to the mechanic. My mechanic has informed me that the amounts of repairs is more than the car may be worth. I see several complaints with issues matching my own and Chevrolet has done nothing. My screen randomly goes out, the radio goes out, the oil censor has stopped coming on, engine lights comes on and off. My radiator was recently replaced as it was rusted and overheating the car. A car this age should not have this many issues. They must lie in the manufacturing process.

Inside door panel showing rust on all 4 doors, some more than others. Coming from bottom where skins clip onto door frame. Should not happen on a 6 year old car.

I was driving to work and my panoramic sunroof exploded. Nothing hit it, no one in front on me, no one passed. Me and no one was behind me. It sounded like a gun shot and then the sunroof completely shattered. The car dealer that I bought it from did take care of all the expenses! but after all, it was not my fault and I have only had the car for 6 months. This is very scary and thankfully I did not get cut. I have a new sunroof but I am very afraid that it is going to happen again.

I purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox in September 2015. It had 10 miles on it when I bought it right off the showroom floor. The car currently has less than 1700 miles on it because it's parked in the garage 90% of the time. In November 2017 I opened the vent part of the sun roof and heard a loud crack sound. When I tried to close it, it wouldn't close. The dealership stated that it broke because there was dirt in it. It cost me $1,000 to replace the whole mechanism including the window because they don't make parts for it. My question to the dealer and chevy was �how does dirt get into a sunroof that is closed all the time? the response has been I don't know. No one can even tell me how to maintain it so this doesn't happen again. I believe that it is either a defect with the sun roof or improper installation at the factory. The new sun roof is made to be more heavy duty but I am concerned that in two years I'll have to replace this also. The customer service person asked if I drive it in areas that there is a lot of dust. The answer was no, but shouldn't it be made to keep dust out? after all, it is on the exterior of the car.

Tl- the contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Equinox and stated that while driving, an odor of antifreeze was coming through the vent of the vehicle. In addition, the contact noticed the heater core leaking antifreeze onto the ground, also the passenger front window failed to come down. The left signal failed to stay down while in use and the rear brake light bold failed four times within the year and was replaced by the contact. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic due to the diagnostic and repaired fees. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall on the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000. Aw.

Right rear door will not open from inside or outside due to defective latch. The original latch, the first replacement latch and the second replacement latch do not allow passenger to exit the vehicle as the door is stuck shut. This is dangerous is someone needs to exit the vehicle quickly. Local chevy dealership will replace the second latch this month (July 2018). The problem happens when the car is stationary.

The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted at 866-790-5600 and was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer stated that the GMC refused to cover the expense. On may 27th I was opening the lift gate to unload items. The car was off. I opened the lift gate using the button under the handle. The door opened fully. I reached in the car to remove luggage. The door closed quickly on my back and stopped just before pinning me in the door way. The door immediately opened a second time and I moved quickly out of the way. As soon as it opened fully,it slammed completely shut. I am still unable to use the lift gate safely.

"tamara recall" I'm writing reguarding an accident that totaled out my vehicle but none of my air bags deployed ? I hit a deer at 75-80 mph on a hwy it hit my drivers side headlight and continued up over my hood and actually dented part of my passenger side fender I couldn't even open the door all the way! none of my air bags went off. Luckily I had my seat belt on which something in the seat belt blew when it locked me in place due to the impact of the deer hitting jumping out at me a warning popped up on my dash believe said "locked" but all happened so fast , it pushed & cracked just about everything under my hood. I had smoke coming from my vehicle, fluids on the ground no fire thankfully ! my SUV was totaled and many have questioned me about the air bags. I'm now wondering the same thing. Why in the world did none of these go off ? if I wouldn't have had my seat belt on who knows what would have happened with the air bags not going off ! I've done research I haven't seen any recalls, but I am a little confused by this!.

Airbag deployment system - airbag message came on car was parked and when I turned the car on husband message shows up and will not go away. . For no reason. The front bumper pops out also, for no reason and imthe plastic parts that hold it in place are broken and don't keep the bumper in place. And my car makes a weird rattling noise . And it stopped pick up up speed when I turn my ac on . But I don't know why it won't pick up speed . I didn't know I had a warranty at the time so when I called hey said they warranty had expired and this has been an issue since I bought the car . The ac started going out 2 and a half years after I bought it . The car will randomly jump , it feels like someone hit my vehicle but it will jump jump when I'm waiting at a red light and I think the compressor stopped working.
