Air bag light is on on dashboard. Chevrolet had installed the airbag sensor on the floor under the drivers seat in a work vehicle chevy 3500 Express. Any moisture causes the sensor to corrode requiring replacement. I have communicated with numerous other owners who have had to pay chevy $1,000 to move the sensor under the dash. Why would you place a sensitive part on the floor in a vehicle where moisture can easily intrude. This is dangerous and could cause air bag malfunctions.
While driving 15 mph, both frontal air bags went off inadvertently. Consumer was able to drive the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic was not able to determine the cause of the problem. Consumer informed the mechanic that this problem occurred twice.
