Three problems related to other fuel system fuel gauge have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Express. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Gas gauges fluctuate badly. When tank is empty, gauge reads anything from 1/4 to 3/4 full. Resulted in running out of gas occurred. Consumers family stranded at 2am on a deserted road as a result of the gas gauge problem.
Gas gauge is defective, it may indicate a full tank when actually gas tank is half full.
Gas gauge is defective. It may indicate a full tank, but actually it is less.
