Two problems related to automatic transmission have been reported for the 2001 Chevrolet Express. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Transmission will intermittently not shift from second to third gear. Takes 10-15 seconds. Engine races, rpm's go up. This started at 1500 miles.
When the vehicle was in reverse, it rolled forward. When the vehicle was parked on a slight grade then placed into reverse the vehicle would roll forward before it engaged in reverse. The consumer had to put on foot on the brake and one foot on the accelerator to alleviate this problem.
