One problem related to engine cooling system has been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Impala. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Coolent dex cool failed at half its warranty and car damagingly overheated. This failure caused the replacement of the coolant reservoir, radiator, thermostat, water pump. It also required days of flushing out the heater core and the cooling system. It may have permanently damaged an expensive high performance engine.
