The replacement sensor which is supposed to correct my problem, the message service airbag comes up on the dash beneath the steering wheel and the passenger airbag light indicates the air bag is off even with the passenger sitting in the seat, will cost me $992. 50 to fix, just for a censor this seems more like a computer, not an itty bitty sensor. Sounds like an engineering design over-kill, $992. 50 really, this is unreal for a sensor!!!! something is wrong here. It only takes 8/10ths of an hour to fix it. That is why I call it an engineering design over-kill!!! I can see a computer costing $992. 50 to fix, but not a censor which only takes 8/10ths of an hour to fix.
On a 2006 chevy Impala, the air bag indicator light on dashboard came on and remained on. Car was taken to Chevrolet dealer who said it would be quite expensive to repair, so letting it go. Research on the internet reveals this problem. Also saw a technical service bulletin related to codes relating to air bag light remaining on. Danger here is that this should be fixed by Chevrolet with a recall, but no recall as of yet. This defect should be fixed by Chevrolet. Someone is going to die because of this issue not being recalled by Chevrolet.
Airbag lights comes on and stays then it goes out then back on and now telling me tighting gas cap but tight and now eeplace it still stays tighting tired of this think should be recalled.
