The diagnostic revealed that there are 11 codes in the vehicle system. These codes ranged from passkey system failures to evap codes to transmission. Suspected failure of wiring harness altogether with possible bcm/cam failure as well. During battery test there was a regular drop in voltage while connected to the scanner reflecting a drain in the electrical system that could further be causing an issue. Codes are p0513 , p0523 , p0700 , p2122 , p0411, p0449 ,p0455. When driving stabilitrack, engine power reduced, and stabilitrack traction control. Sometimes the car shuts off while driving and the steering wheel will lock , I'd w ok old have to pull over on the side of the highway or street and pop the hood just to get the car started again.
The traction control light and the abs light came on at the same time and its saying service tractioncontrol system/service stabilatrak system and also service assited brake control system I did some research and I found out this is a common problem with these cars and should be addressed by gm to be fixed at their cost not mine.
The abs light on traction control does not work key comes out of the ingiton causeing the car to stall front passenger air bag is turned off.
Reduced engine power, stabilitrac and traction control messages. While driving 2010 Impala . Comes on without warning car loses power down to 20 mph I was driving 55 mph on highway pulled over shut car off waited few minutes car restarted then not 5 minutes later did same thing only this time engine shut off was able to coast off road thank goodness called gm they told me it was out of warranty but was under special conditions . Take it to gm dealer so few days later got in it to take to dealer ,no lights on drove fine . Dealer told me to bring it back if and when warning lights came on again wow! read this same issue on forums gm should have a recall on this very dangerous issue . Called gm back after getting home they more less told me yes it should have been a recall but it isn't so have good day the cost is on you.
Started driving car wouldn't go over 5 mph. Engine shakes violently. Display reads reduced engine power. Traction control warning.
Driving uphill & the service stabiltrak & the serice traction control words came on followed by reduce of engine power & the service engine light & traction control light came on. We could still drive at about 20 mph uphill & 45-50 on flat roads. We shut the car off 4 about 2 hrs 2 cool down. But then as soon as we headed up a hill it started all over.
When turning left the vehicle makes a grinding noise and the warning light to service stabilitrak, service traction control, and service abs come on. This is more noticeable at low speeds or when turning from a stopped position. The vehicle also shakes when accelerating or maintaining any sleek greater than 25mph. The shake is most noticeable between 45-60mph, and becomes less noticeable between 61-70mph.
I was driving home from work and I was doing 55 mph,and the car started to hesitate, and the dashboard info read stabilitrac, engine safty mod, and reduced power. Then the car started to slow down, and when I tried to give it some gas the engine started to knock, and the temperature gauge went all the way up to the top. I pulled over and shut the car off,and opened the hood, and it wasn't even over heating. After letting it sit for a few minutes I started it up and went about five hundred feet and it did it again.
1 my driver side seat beat will not latch no matter what I have done does it moving or sitting still just will not latch. 2 the read out on my dash say's engine power reduced at times this will come on when started and stay on for short and extended times please help a senior and don't know where to turn.
The takkata inflator symbol is showing I have took it to several mechanic and they say they can fix the problems. My car jump and stop at time. When I try to start my car it takes like 5 or 6 time before it start. It mostly jump , shakes and that the engine before it starts. The head lights where changes and they still keep going out.
2010 chevy Impala only has 58,000 miles on it. I've already had been having issues with the car not starting all of the time and now after putting new tires on it, I am driving down the road and get "service stabilitrack," "service traction control," and "engine power reduced. " I was on a major highway going about 60 mph and was almost rear-ended due to the sudden loss of speed. I was able to move into a turning lane and get to a parking lot without getting myself killed. I still, however, have to figure out how I'm getting home from work! I had noticed when I first went out that it seemed to be shifting hard, but the roads were wet, so I thought perhaps it was the stabilitrack kicking in, not going out! I have two small children, who thankfully were not with me. The car has been nothing but trouble since I've purchased it. With such low-mileage, I figured I was good to go for awhile. I have a 2003 chevy tahoe with almost 200,000 miles and have not had this many issues out of it!! contacted Chevrolet, but am told no recalls have been made. Why not?!?!.
Car began showing stabilitrak service, traction control service, reduced engine power and shut off while driving on interstate 35, almost causing a major traffic accident , pulled to side of interstate comm center says ingnition disabled car wont do anything when key was turned . I then sat approximatley 5 mins car starts with no codes but check engine light . I cannot have this happening means I drive 40 miles to wrk a day and cant afford to throw parts at the problem as all gm service centers hsve been with no solution.
My chevy Impala when in motion has signals for service stabilitrac, the check engine comes on and the a message that says reduced engine power shows up. It seems like alot of Impala owners are experiencing this and something should be done! the stabilitack goes off and the check engine ligts stays on but usually goes off, and then a few days later it will happen again.
When I first purchase my car from a used car dealer which is Smart auto dealer, 2 weeks later my vehicle will start to have issues while my vehicle is in motion on the service streets. Whenever I am making a left turn my alert alarm will light up on dash stating service brake assist , service stabilitrak , service traction control and abs light, this will go on & off, but now it stays on constantly. While turning left, there will be a grinding noise, car tends to reduce its power, like its hard for me to take off and my vehicle will kick so hard, like something is locking. Also another issue is while parked on a slanted carport, my vehicle will not go into reverse gear. I feel like my vehicle is going to break because, I have to force it to get into reverse gear, that the vehicle will make the loudest noise, like my axle is going to break on me. According to the dealers service department its not showing up on there diagnostic as any issues. Can someone please tell me if there is a recall on my vehicle? there was a known recall, but my VIN# is not showing up. Dealers are trying to cheat me.
Service stabilitrak indicator showed up and the vehicle does not run properly (engine seemed to want to stall, loss of power, rough idleing, transmission 'kicking'. This problem should be repaired by the dealership and not the consumer since the costs of repair are (can be) extremely high. Manufacturer should ensure the parts they use for stability and safety will last for the life of the vehicle.
Anti locking brake light coming on, service traction control, service stabiltrac ,service electronic stability control. Had all checked, said it was a right drive wheel bearing, replaced the wheel bearing. Still have the same problem.
Driving home one night after just having my vehicle repaired a few weeks earlier, without warning, my vehicle began to stall. Just before the stall it was driving completely normal with no issues at all. Suddenly the check engine light came on along with the messages of service stabiltrack, traction control disabled, and low engine power. When I took the vehicle to the dealer I bought it from I was told that there was an aftermarket senondary air check valve that was causing the issue. With this they gave me the following codes; p0068, p0340, p0651, and p2135. Due to me just recently getting this part replaced this past February I took it back to the mechanic that replaced it. When I received the vehicle back it would no longer even start. The mechanic then informed me that the air valve would not cause this issue and there was something else wrong with the vehicle and to take it to another dealer. When that was done I was told a second time that it was the air valve. I have now come out of pocket twice for tows that I can't afford. Along with paying for an expensive part possibly twice. Vehicle only has 50k miles on it and has never given me any issues until this year.
I have a 2010 chevy Impala lt with 90k+ miles on it. I originally bought the car in 2011 used with 40k+ miles on it, so the car is no longer covered through warranty. Engine power reduced, service stabilitrac, etc. I'm a full time college student, and a full time uber driver. Last night I was with a passenger on I-94 heading towards o'hare airport. My car reduced speed and suddenly dropped speed from 70mph down to 50mph. As I turned on the emergency light and start steering to the right to get onto the shoulder I was in the third lane to the right (the expressway is 4 lanes) as I was turning to the right to get onto the shoulder and to get to safety my steering locks, and there was a reckless driver going 100mph trying to cut off traffic. The lanes to the left were blocked so he had to cut me off by overtaking me by going onto the shoulder. He damaged his right rearview mirror and probably scrapped the right side of his car pulling off that reckless stunt. Had I delayed the breaking for a second I wouldn't be alive making this post today. Luckily I turned the car off, waited for a few minutes, turned the car back on and took the nearby fullerton exit, and waited with my passenger at the nearby target parking lot for the next uber driver to pick up my passenger and get her safely to the airport. Had I not acted quickly, my uber passenger would have missed her flight.
Intermittent abs, traction control, stabilitrak issues have been happening for the last few years. It startyed at about 80k miles. I have replaced the wheel hub twice due to a loose bearing. This significantly reduced the problem the first time, but has not resolved the issue the second time. It tends to happen when the vehicle is jarred (such as hitting a pot hold on a dirt road) or when turning hard to the right while accelerating. If it happens a few times within a short time, then the system will abs, stabilitrak, and traction control systems shut down. It.
I have 2010 Impala it keeps giving me the dashboard message eng power reduced service stupbilty traction control off when it dose this the car will only go 40 mph witch is dangerous on freeway going 75 mph with other traffic.
This problem tends to only happen when the car is in motion trying to turn left or right and simply just trying to accelerate from a stop light or stop sign. It is very hard to describe what actually happens but it's like the car has a huge hiccup and it sounds like something is loose underneath. I have to lightly touch the gas pedal to try and avoid this happening. I get the warning light-service stabilitrack and traction control. I get scared at times trying to make turns because when the hiccupping happens, it delays the car for seconds and I try to press on the gas but it won't get up to speed. Needless to say, if it's possible, I try and wait for a good distance between me crossing and the cars coming.
Reduced engine power lights came, on traction control light came, on it was hard to accelerate in the middle of a highway, car almost shut down, but I made it home. It has happened twice on the highway and turnpike. I thought it was oil but that wasn't the issue. It stops (the problems) after I shut the car off for an evening, but I'm scared it will power down while on the highway again. When this issue happens the car beeps, then the traction light comes on with warning and so does the engine light and reduced engine power warning. Always in motion, especially higher speeds than normal city streets. Such as turnpike and highway.
Front wheel locking up while making a turn. Car dash warning lights are flashing.
Takata recall hello I have a chevy Impala 2010 as I was driving on the highway when all of a sudden my I got the engine power is reduced, service traction control and service stabilitrak and the car keep on yanking and the stearing wheel got hard and I was scared , when I turn my car off the check engine goes away but then when im going to use my car again and im driving on the street the car deaccelerates and starts yanking and I get the same messages engine power is reduced.
While driving and the car shuts down, when it finally starts the engine light came on, the passenger seat comes on and no one is sitting there. Ive had it checked out something about an air mass flow sensor, then the light came on about traction.
When driving the traction control and stabilizer light comes; then the engine reduced power light car will just cut off in the middle of the street . This has been going on for over a year.
Recall.
Engine power reduced. . . Car shuts off in the middle of traffic.
My car started giving me an error code of service stabilitrac, service brake assist, and my traction and abs light comes on like a year ago. I have had control arms replaced, cv axles, hubs, etc. I have basically replaced the entire front suspension trying to rid this problem but to no avail it's still giving me this warning. It's causing my car to slip when I turn corners or try to accelerate. It's causing pulling and loss of speed in the engine . This problem is costing me alot of money as well as frustration. Please look into this matter urgently thank you.
Message says "service stabilitrak" engine powering down". Has happened while driving and when first starting. Many gm customers have experienced same issue across several years and makes including the traverse.
Pecking sound starts when door is open and get faster when car is started but quits shortly after. Will start pecking sometimes when its just setting not in use.
I have had 3 special coverage orders letters in the pass year on my car. !. Stabilitrak light tc. 2. Harnessthrottle body. 3. Ignition key. I'm also having problem with my suspension . And power steering. I call gm and have taken my car in for by gm require and the services repair men said they couldn't find no codes on their scann.
The vehicle was in motion about 45 miles an hr when it began to suddenly lose speed once it stopped I was able to coast it to the light. I cut the car off an it started back up. I didn't understand why it did that so I proceeded to find a near gas station. . It started to run again and I proceeded to go home when it did it again (lost speed while the engine was running) still don't know what the problem is had the alternator and battery checked and both are fine. . This was very dangerous!.
As I was driving on a state route, alerts appeared for "service traction control" and then "service stabilitrak" followed by "engine power reduced". The engine light also came on. I pulled over and shut the car off, waiting a few minutes before restarting. The messages stopped, but the engine light was still on. I drove a few more miles and approached the on-ramp to the interstate. As I accelerated to merge onto the interstate, the same alerts came back on in addition to "starting disabled, service throttle". Shortly thereafter, my car became completely disabled and shut down as I was on the interstate- the engine cut off, no power steering, no acceleration!! thankfully, I was able to safely pull off the side of the interstate. I had the vehicle towed and the car started right up and seems to run fine at the repair shop. Worried when and where it will happen again.
Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 mph, the vehicle stalled as the traction control and the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact mentioned that after the failure occurred, the service electronic stability control, engine power reduced, and throttle body disabled warning lights displayed across the instrument panel. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 74,000. Ss.
