Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that when someone was seated in the passenger's side seat the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed independent mechanic who diagnosed that the modules on the low speed bus circuit were blew. The vehicle was repaired with a radio, heater control and another ignition key. In addition, the air bag seat module and the bcm, sdm, ipc and tdm modules were replaced. The contact continued to have an issue with the key. The vehicle would go into theft mode and key not known warning illuminated causing the vehicle not to start. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number 14v355000 (electrical system) however, the part to do the repair was not available. The manufacturer had not been notified. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000. Ne.
