Tl the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic for service and it was diagnosed that the passenger side air bag was faulty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 120,740.

2 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/21/2017

The service airbag soon light is on and the passenger side airbag is not sensing that a person is in the passenger seat. The first time the light came on was sitting in my garage. This is a major safety issue that needs to be addressed.

3 Side/window Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 09/23/2014

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp illuminated indicating a malfunction. The contact also stated that the front drivers side and front passenger side air bags were intermittently making a noise as the failure was progressing. The vehicle was not inspected and diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 38,913. Dyd.
