Recall # 36110. Our car is having the same issues that are indicated with this recall but gm refuses to include our vehicle in this recall. Front passenger seat sensor is shorting out against the seat frame which is turning vital passenger airbags off. Unsure when this actually started as my daughter drives this car to work and didnt notice when it first appeared.
About a week ago I got in my car and started driving. As I started going down the road the passengers side alarm for the seatbelt kept going off and I noticed the passenger side airbag had turned on as well. I was in my car alone and had nothing sitting in the passengers seat nor a passenger in my car. That was the first time it lasted my whole drive to work (about 13 miles) but made me think of past times my vehicle had done that as well a few weeks before that the same thing happened and I had to connect the seatbelt to make it stop. I didn’t think much of it at first and thought it was a one-off kinda thing till it became a pattern of sorts. This morning I started my car and the dash kept telling me to “service airbags” I just bought my vehicle from national auto sales in spokane washington the previous February of this year (2022) and only drive to work (13 miles) and back for the most part. Seeing the “service airbag” light on in my car was concerning because I don’t know what that means. As I looked further into things I found a recall for my vehicle for the passenger side airbags malfunctioning, recall #36110 to replace wiring in the seat. So I called gm and they couldn’t find a recall for my vehicle. I then called knudtsen Chevrolet in post falls idaho expecting it to get taken care of. The guy from the service department looked up my VIN and told me my vehicle had already been serviced in the past for this passenger side airbag recall issue at another dealership and the work had already been completed and closed so there was nothing they would be willing to do except make an appointment and pay 145. 00$ for them to diagnose the situation. I explained that the recall was for the very same thing that’s happening in my vehicle right now and that was unsafe if my airbags were malfunctioning. That if they fixed it in the past why am I dealing with that exact recall issue with my airbags now? I don’t have money to pay for something that was supposed to be fixed.

Air bag service message comes up on the information panel with the air bag light on. Did a diagnostic check showed passenger air bag. I reached under the seat and shook the wires the light and message went off, however the diagnostic check still showed the passenger air bag system. Found recall number 16v507000. The dealer says my VIN is not in the recall however it seems I have the same problem the recall describs.
My air bag light stays on and my abs light stays on and something with the wiring keeps ruining my battery.
Dic says that to service passenger airbag. We checked for error codes, but can't find any.

Got in it the airbag light came on and it read that my airbag needed to be service it stay on for about 10 minutes and I got in later and it was off.
The "service airbag system" light came on and I was told that this is a dealership only problem and the dealership wants $130. 00 just to check it out. Being a safety issue and a dealership fix only problem I feel like I should not have to pay for attention to this matter.
Passenger airbag turns on with no passenger in seat. Seatbelt chime goes off while driving because of it.
The abs light on traction control does not work key comes out of the ingiton causeing the car to stall front passenger air bag is turned off.
Can't get ray skillman to talk to unless I hand them $85. 00. Light comes on saying service air bags.
Takata recall.
Air bag service lights are coming on for both driver and passenger sets.
Service air bag on dash came on today after a basic oil change @ a dealership.
I was driving home from work and I was doing 55 mph,and the car started to hesitate, and the dashboard info read stabilitrac, engine safty mod, and reduced power. Then the car started to slow down, and when I tried to give it some gas the engine started to knock, and the temperature gauge went all the way up to the top. I pulled over and shut the car off,and opened the hood, and it wasn't even over heating. After letting it sit for a few minutes I started it up and went about five hundred feet and it did it again.
My service bag light is on again, less than one year before, have not made a dealer appointment yet, hoping this is not costly.
Light. For service airbag on and upon srarting vehicle and periodically while driving a message also appears on dash information area stating service airbag. Concerned if it's safe but dealer said no recall at this time and it "happens". Still occurring.
"service airbag" light comes on without pushing a code for error.
Transmission slips front end hits hard when bumps occur service air bag is on the dashboard actuator knocks ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly; 3 - VIN corrected, error in one position (assuming check digit is correct); 14 - unable to provide information for all the characters in the VIN. #vpic#.

My air bags keep making a loud noise every few minutes.
While driving on the interstate going about 70mph the check engine light flashes on goes off then pops back on. Message comes on saying reducing engine power then traction control service lights comes on and stays on all while I'm losing power trying to get over to safety I have my foot on the gas pedal but no power at all put my flashers on lucky chp seen me and helped me to the shoulder. Call aaa while waiting I start the car up press on the pedal I have power.
After purchasing this vehicle within 30 days the air bag system light came on I took the vehicle back to future Nissan of folsom and they stated that I would have to call the warranty people there was nothing they could do about it. A week later I noticed when I slow down using the breaks it makes a shaking sound, making the whole car shake. This vehicle also has no coverage when pumping gas I noticed the silver cap inside thats suppose to remain closed until you put the gas pump in there in always open, which allows air to get inside. My powertrain is not accelerationg properply, it takes about a minute for it to catch its gear.
Car was hit on front drivers corner and front end. Car shut off and no air bags deployed.
The gauges on the dashboard fail during driving. The passenger airbags turn on and off during driving. The tire pressure monitoring and fuel gauge warning comes on during driving even though fuel and air are fine. Sometimes at 0mph the gauge will be stuck at prior speed. Gauges fail when passenger airbag turns off. Incidents occur seemingly only when a passenger is present, when passenger airbag is turned on.
When driving with someone in the front passenger seat, the car randomly signals loss of air bags and the instrument cluster either freezes where it's at or completely drops out as if the vehicle is off. The dash says service airbag when this happens and also turns off the passenger side front air bag. It does this multiple times when driving when there is a passenger.
