The car has been in the shop twice within 6 months having it. It was towed twice, once for transmission issues and having no power to it at all then it back in the shop for warning lights. I also had it in the shop for about an hour to have a new tire put on it after loosing air. It had to be towed back home for all the brakes being shot and I'm now having an issue with the rear left caliper having a slow leak, the rear left sway bar is also broken in half. The whole entire car has issues and the leasing company and dealership refuse to do anything to help along with not helping me get the payment down. After one thing gets fixed, another thing happens. The suspension is getting bad and has been like that since my fiance and I got the car. The dealership said everything was new and fixed. We had 2 kids in the car and their safety was put at risk as well as others that got in the car. The car is getting to be a death trap for me. The warning lights that were coming on were service stabilitrak, service brake assist, service trac control and service brake system. These were coming on after I had the car in the shop for the transmission issue. Those lights are now not coming on. My fiance and I were told by the dealership that the brakes were new, nothing mechanically wrong with the car and drives smoothly, this was said before we took the car for a test drive. We were there to buy a car but after we signed the papers, we were told it was a lease.
My car's stabilitrack, barake assist, and traction control lights come on everytime I turn the steering wheel to the left. The car hesitates when giving gas making it for a dangerous situation when getting into traffic.
Tl the contact owned a 2012 Chevrolet Impala. While reversing out of a parking lot, the vehicle accelerated without warning. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to stop. As a result, the vehicle finally stopped when it crashed into an embankment. The passenger was taken to sherman elgin hospital to receive medical attention for back, neck, and shoulder injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed by the police to an unknown lot. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The failure mileage was 51,564.
I was going slow (20 mph or less), expecting to stop with my foot on the break. A car slammed in back of me. On impact, I pushed the break all the way down to the floor, without any resistance. Just prior to that, the breaks were slowing-down the car as expected. My car slammed into the car in front of me. There were no break marks on the highway as one would expect if the breaks were working. The breaks simply failed. After releasing the breaks, shouting off the engine and later starting it up, the breaks are currently working as before the accident.
Abs/traction control failure. Both left and right wire harnesses had to be replaced ti to wire rubbing in frame and going to ground. Gm has four TSB's on this known problem. Abs/traction control or federally required safety features. This need to be a full recall.
I have about 72,000 miles on my car and the service stabilitrak, service brake assist and service traction control messages come on and the abs and electronic stability control light also are on. It happens when turning left or right and also the abs kick in and effects the steering. I have replaced the right and left hub assemblies and it has not helped no codes are found when vehicle is scanned. This has been going on for several months. Thanks for your help. This will all happen in drive way and on city roads/highways.
My car is trying to kill me. At a complete stop when I hit the gas the traction control comes on. My dash says service stabilitrak , traction control and abs. I must turn off the traction control to drive my vehicle. With all that, if I drive up hill it turns the traction control on, the abs and traction control light up and the lights stay on. When the car is restarted all the lights go away. Twice I was pulling onto the highway from a stop. That situation happened and my car didnt move. Luckily the car was able to move or else I would have severly injured. This happens with my vehicle daily. I took my car in because my alternator failed. I told the dealership about a TSB for the issue and they did nothing. It also happens a lot if im accelerating while turning a corner. The dash lights up like christmas lights.

I was driving down a hill on kalamazoost in lansing mich. My power steering and power brakes stopped working. I pulled on the steering wheel to turn the car into a hedge of bushed on the side of the road. It stopped before I hit them.
On June 28,2014 while driving down houston TX beltway. I was involved in an accident where my car hit a cement guard rail and breaks fail as well as no airbags deployed.
While driving my car highway speed was 65mph, at that rate of speed my vehicle was picking up speed and when I went to press on my brakes, it was if I was driving on ice and my car was skidding. Two days later I stopped for gas and my car wouldn't start, after my 3rd attempt, it stuttered hard time turning over. Once it did I turned it off but the car was still running. I did this several times. Very scared to drive my car back home because I'm out of town. My lights says I have low right tire pressure but I don't, it's back left tire for some odd reason.
Same incident twice. I am driving either at low speeds (5 to 10 mph) or at 30 mph. The light service stabilitrak and brakes comes on. After I turn off the car, the warning lights and the message go off. I took car to dealership but they said they could not help because the warning message is off. I have seen messages across the internet posts that other Impalas (2012) are doing the same thing.
Brakes have what I feel is excessive amount of fade especially after just a few stops seems to occur more at speeds over 50 mph.
