Tl the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that the power steering failed while making a turn. In addition, the service power steering indicator illuminated. The contact called richard lucas Chevrolet at 732-634-0100 (located at 1077 u s 1, woodbridge township, NJ 07001) and was informed that there was no recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
The power steering failed on a interstate ramp, I pulled to the side and restarted the car and it worked again. It failed two more times on the drive home and twice while driving to the dealership. The car had 11035 miles and was 40 months old. I had to pay $3051 to have the power steering rack replaced.
