The actuators in the air vents are faulty and I've had to have them repla ed multiple times now. They still continue to make clicking noise sounds and blow cold air in winter/hot air in summer. The trunk deck lid paint is bad. The clear coat has been coming off. Paint all over the car's clear coat has been coming off. There is also some spots where it's down to the metal showing rust/corrosion. Finally, and most seriously, is the car's traction control system. It goes off constantly and without warning! it's been doing this randomly, in all types of weather conditions, for some time now. It goes off under normal driving conditions. I barely pull out of a parking space, or make a slow turn, or pull out of a parking lot at a very slow speed and it just goes off. The really dangerous part is that it stalls the car almost to a complete stop, when I've been making a turn well before oncoming traffic, and it stalls almost causing an accident on several occasions now. Most of the incidents are on sunny days where there's no inclement weather! this system is not safe and is unreliable. I've checked many public forums, like reddit, and there are many other chevy Impala owners who complain of the same exact problem. Yet chevy has issued no recalls!? the only recall I've seen close to this is for 2011 year models. Although my car is a 2012, 2011 parts likely were used. If the recall affects 2011 Impalas, then any model that used 2011 parts should be included in this recall. I cannot trust the safety of my car's traction control system anymore as it comes on without warning, under no circumstances where it would need to come on. People are in danger with this defect! the car cosmetically, specifically the paint job and the flimsy actuators, are also defective. I've always taken excellent care of my vehicle, regularly having maintenance done at my local chevy dealership. Another defect that chevy had to fix was my fuel pump that went out for no reason! I have receipt for this.

The support frame rusted due to water collection from rain. This has caused the entire frame to rust through and collapse when the car was jacked up, with the manufacturer supplied scissor jack, to replace a tire. Because of this the driver side door is no longer able to open, causing the driver to be put at risk where they can not escape the car in case of an emergency.
When my car is exposed to water (rain, a car wash) the trunk completely floods and does not drain. It has flooded so much now that my amplifier does not work. I took my vehicle to chevy to have the known recall on this vehicle repaired but chevy claims that they will not do anything for me. I am afraid that the car can potentially catch fire and burn my home down as I park this car in my driveway. With this being a known recall for this vehicle, can I please have this fixed immediately!!!! I have already replaced my tools that have been damaged, please just have this fixed or id likely take further steps after this. I have been going back and forth with GMC and chevy for over 7 days now! just recently, my car was producing sparks from the trunk area, this is not good!!!.

The right turn signal bulb keeps blowing. Break lights were stuck on. I got pulled over because the blinker wasn't working and parking light wouldn't go off. The officer was nice because I had just got the car and didn't give me a ticket, just a warning. Blinker on passenger side won't work with lights on and fuses for that side keeps blowing.

The back driver’s side door of my 2008 Impala is not locked, but it cannot be opened. I’ve read online that this happens on other Impalas. Because this is a major safety issue, as well as a major inconvenience, these vehicles should be recalled and repaired at no cost to the owners. People should be able to enter and exit through all doors of a vehicle, especially during an emergency. Because of this defect, Impalas should be recalled and repaired at no cost to the owner.

My car's engine always feels like it's dragging in the front and sounds really really bad like it's about to explode or something it makes a lot of noise and ticking sound as well when I'm driving.
The air conditioner tube was off inside the vehicle and caused massive leaking in the carpets. Causing mold to grow excessively under the floor mats, in the carpets, under the seats, etc. Which as a result led to electrical issues. It’s being looked into by a senior member at gm for months now, nothing is being done. Radley chevy in fredricksburg virginia hasn’t done anything for us either. My family is now having respiratory issues due to the mold issue.

Tl-the contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that during inclement weather, water entered the vehicle from the rear taillights. The contact stated that the trunk and the inside cabin of the vehicle experienced water intrusion in the vehicle. The contact stated that there was mold and an abnormal odor inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to two independent mechanics to be diagnosed. It was confirmed that the failure was with the driver's and passenger's side taillights. The contact stated that the computer in the trunk of the vehicle was completely under water. Additionally, the spare tire and jack were rusted. The vehicle was taken to mike anderson Chevrolet (5333 w irving park rd, chicago, IL 60641, 773-465-2000) and an appointment was scheduled to have the vehicle inspected. The vehicle was not repaired. Water leaking into truck mold is growing I know there's been a lot of cases this problem need to get fixed my car smells really bad like mold this is a health issue.
Back driver passenger door is stuck. Will not open at all, locks don't unlock most of the time and don't lock at all. Always have to lock manually. New starter replaced but still seems to not want to start. Knocking noise in dash. Front passenger heated seat doesn't work, when the heat button is pushed the light blinks and turns back off. Vents don't work well. And vehicle is stationary, in motion. . . Also when vehicle speeds up the music gets louder . .
The back driver side door will not open from the inside or the outside when you pull the handle from the outside it doesn't feel like there's anything catching on the inside it's just loose, it's the same way from the inside also. I went to the store when I left my house I put my daughter in her car seat on that side the door open fine it shut and latched fine when I got to the store and got out to get my daughter out of her car seat the door just would not open it's like it's locked but it's not locked you can move the mechanical lock up and down from the inside , and you can also hit the lock and unlock with the key fob and it doesn't make a difference. The door just will not open. This really concerns me considering if there was an accident and the back passenger needed to get out of the car they wouldn't be able to. This could be a very bad safety issue, and has me extremely concerned considering I have three small children that ride in the backseat daily this is my daily driver.

While driving on freeway about 70 mph today on way home I opened sunroof. As normal the cloth sunroof retracted and seconds later the actual glass roof opened. Half way thought opening. The cloth caught or got stuck and I hear tearing sounds all around my head. The plastic piece that has the cloth cover attached looks like the adhesive just gave out and now the cloth is flapping down blocking view of rear of car.
My 2015 chevy Impala lt spontaneously caught fire while my husband, myself and two dogs where in motion driving up I-95 n to my graduation. The trunk of the car leaks around the twilights causing the twilights to short out and water to get into the trunk.
My vehicle was inspected and and marked "good" for brakes by fairway Chevrolet dealer in las vegas, nv. The braking system didn't seem to work as did before. I was driving about 30 mph approaching an intersection when the vehicle in front of me suddenly stopped on the yellow light. I hit the brakes and held it so hard I got a foot injury. With plenty of room to stop the brakes failed to stop my vehicle before I collided into the vehicle in front of me. The airbags didn't deploy. The damage to my front end is estimated over $6000 to repair. The other vehicle only got a scratch on the bumper. I had to go to an urgentcare facility to receive emergency care. Something is wrong with the braking system. The same symptoms are in our 2014 equinox but the dealer says theres nothing wrong. Please call me for any needed information. I can send more pictures.
I noticed water/dampness on two locations of my 2014 Chevrolet Impala (while it is stationary) 1. Floor carpet on passenger side front seat is thoroughly wet (see attached photos), with the dampness extending to the rear seats. 2. Inside the trunk in area behind the rear wheel. Took the car to the dealership and they advised I would have to pay for diagnosis as well as repair. This is a manufacturing defect that may have resulted in damage to the interior carpet, structural panels - floor (possible rust). Gm customer service nor the dealership is willing to absorb the cost and expects my (consumer to pay).
Gasket seals on the rear lights are leaking and the trunk is filling with water where the spare tire is stored. Causing faulty brake lights and water damage to the body of the car and black mold.
Blind spot detection has failed again. Service side detection error in dash display the system failed under warrant it has failed again out of warranty. This is a safety concern chevy needs to fix.
Water filling trunk and getting the back seat carpet wet. Mold smell until I discovered the trunk needs to be drained. Found leaking gaskets on tail lights. Bumper needs to be removed. Common problem dealer will not fix under warranty. I one of the tail lights also failed. 38k miles.
