Tires size p245r7516 that comes with vehicle is not an appropiate tire for this vehicle . Appropriate tire size is lt245r7516. Also, other tires are too small for this vehicle, and GMC failed to put appropiate tires on vehicle. Contacted GMC, they took complaint, and stated it was a sales problem.

These tires have been a problem since the beginning. These should have been recalled like the fords were. These were standard equipment on gm trucks also. I don't feel safe with these on the truck. Can't afford to replace these at this time. (tiresize: 2657016).

Tires were replaced do to cracking around the circumference of the tire. They were prorated at 60%. This sounds like the same problem firestone is having with other tires. (tiresize: 245r7516)( dot number: tire size: 245r7516 ).

At about 50 to 55 mph, the least bit of road roughness starts the tires hopping and sending the rear of the truck sideways. The tires did not come on the truck, they were purchased as replacements for the original tires which posed no problems. It happens very quickly and has nearly caused me to lose control several times. I bought the tires used with about 5000 miles on them. I would assume the previous owner had the same problem and replaced them, which I will have to do to. (tiresize: 265 75)( dot number: tire size: 265 75 ).
Tire failure. Chevrolet included only these tires in its z-71 off-road package. These tires have been rated for highway travel only.
Tires, designed for passenger vehicles, are unsafe and perform poorly when installed on all-terrain vehicles. (goodyear, wrangler rt/s, p26575r16).
Goodyear wrangler p26575r16 tires are passenger rated tires that should not be installed on a all-terrain vehicles.
Vehicle shimmied at 45 mph. Front driver's side tire had a split in it similar to the firestone tire defect.
At about 25,000 miles, I noticed unusual tire wear. It looks as if someone took a chisel and chipped off pieces of tread. Front and rear tires. The pieces missing range in size from 1/8" - 1/2" dia. The tires have been rotated per manufacturer specs. Properly inflated at 44 psi cold. Driven on paved surfaces, and at moderate speeds. I went to the firestone at 5499 n. High st. , worthington OH 43085, and the employee, after treating me like a moron, informed me that the recall only was for certain 15" tires. He then insisted that it was normal tire wear. I strongly dissagree, and ask that my tires be included in the recall. I do not feel safe driving my truck. How can I send you a photo, or mold to show you why I am concerned? please respond. ( dot number: w273wma tire size: p265/75r16 ).
Regarding the firestone tire recall of 15" tires. On the news last night(8/22/00) in atlanta, GA, I saw a lady whose firestone wildnerness at 16" tire separated from its tread, just like all those incidents of the 15" tire. On my 2000 chevy truck I have firestone wilderness at 16" tires. What is to prevent those tires from a tread separation and causing a terrible accident!!! I have three children and a husband. It would be horrible if a tire separation happened on my vehicle causing my death. Ever since I bought my new truck last September '99, I have had nothing but trouble with those firestone tires. Only after 4,000 miles the front tires started cupping and had to be replaced. Now again, after 6,000 more miles(after alignments and tire rotations) the front tires are doing the same thing. I wish to change out these tires to michelin tires, since I have had great success with my other vehicle('96 chevy suburban 4x4) and its michelin tires. I'm very upset and scared to drive my 2000 chevy truck with those firestone tires on it. I need to find out if firestone can be made to replace my tires on my truck also. I would appreciate it if someone can contact me regarding an answer to replacing my tires. Thank you. Sincerely, donna brown( dot number: w273 wmb tire size: p265/75r16 ).
