2 Brake Disc Rotor problem of the 2002 Chevrolet K2500

Failure Date: 08/02/2005

I have a 2002 Chevrolet 2500 4x4. I noticed the rear brakes were getting very hot. I pulled the rear wheels and noticed the rotors had rust pits in them which I believe caused the brake pads to wear prematurely. The front pads and rotors are fine. I had the rear rotors machined and replaced the brake pads.

Poor breaking. Premature deteriorating of brake rotors (40,000 miles. ) the surface of the rotors where the pads make contact appeared to flake away, leaving a smaller contact with the pads. Have pictures of rotors and the rotors for inspection.
