One problem related to steering anti-theft device has been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Was making a left turn when the steering wheel became stuck. Was hard to control the steering wheel but managed to move to side of road and turn vehicle off. Restarted vehicle. Will be taking vehicle to dealership to have mechanic check out the problem.
