One problem related to steering noise has been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving there was a vibration in the steering wheel and a loud noise in the steering column. This was caused by a steering shaft failure. Gm dealership said that Ford company had started a recall on some of they're models for the same exact problem.
