The power steering assist has cause the steering wheel to move to its let by its self when not holding the steering wheel. I must hold the steering wheel firmly to keep it strait when driving. If I would let go the car will abruptly turn left and possibly drive off the road or hit a car, pedestrian, or whatever is in the way. It started with uncontrolled vibrating at a stand still motion. The car is 165,000 miles that's 15,000 miles from the recall. The car has been repaired a couple times I think only to have the same power steering assist internal parts break down and fail multiple times. I believe the amount of power (amps) the power steering assist draws is needed is to much and the system fails within a short time. The alternative hydraulic version on the v 6 doesn't put so much stress on the electrical system. This could be also why the headlights bulb sockets melt and why I see a 15 volt constant charge is being created from the charging system. Ruining the alternator and battery. Putting high levels of amps on the wiring. Leading to malfunctioning components that is filed for complaints. A major safety hazard for others. Fires and uncontrolled crash since the power steering assist moves the car into dangerous life threating crashes.

While driving my vehicle the rear toe link broke leaving me stranded on the side of the road. With no dealers close I replaced the passenger rear toe link to get the car mobile again. Once that was done I called the dealer to setup an appointment to do the recall repair. After dropping the car off at the dealer I received a call back stating that I would need to replace my oem lug nuts at an inflated dealer price in order for them to do the repair. My issue is that these oem lug nuts should also be included in the recall because I've done nothing to create an issue with the lug nuts. Swelling lug nuts is a major ongoing issue among the big 3 automakers and this should be corrected. Allowing the companies to sell cars with low quality lug nuts is insane. Dealers thinking that customers should pay for a flaw in their own design of the lug nuts before they will do any repairs is even more insane. How my car sits now I am refused recall service on my car that is unsafe to drive due to them releasing cars with unsafe lug nuts. Then to add a paywall to you getting your recall repairs. This is extremely unsafe and unethical, and I pray that the NHTSA will do something about this ongoing issue that is putting millions of americans in danger and allowing these companies to take advantage of their customer base. I took action to bring this to your attention and I hope you will take preventive action to keep americans safe on the roads.

I just bought this car 2 weeks ago. Had to replace the windshield wiper pump. There are at least 10 tsbs on the vehicle I'm on disability I can't afford to fix all that. The rear hub bearing was barely making noise when I bought it. Now tire feels like it's going to fall off. I believe there's a TSB on when you put the car in park and shut it off then it's not going in to gear even though it said it's into gear so I have to get that fixed as well. Can't chevy fix thermostats just like I have to fix my mistakes in life.

Having problems with my rear stop lights, traction control/ indicator light, ecs/ indicator light. When driving center brake light remains on but when I need to apply brakes they go off, lights on dashboard have been on since I purchased the vehicle which were never addressed the only light addressed was the check engine light. All other issues were voided being that they let me drive down to n. C. Knowing it would void my warranty with them after putting 1 thousand miles on the vehicle without notication to me.

I purchased the vehicle in 2021 . It was running fine at first but recently . Been having alot of issues with the vehicle. When parking the vehicle and you put it in park it moves forward . Also been having alot of tire blow outs one after another for the past 8 months . Also sometimes it drives proper and at times it starts swarving . The ride gets bumpy. I already replaced the arm controls also aligned the car . I believe there mechanically defaulted. Also having issues with the exhaust . Fuel sensor also was replaced . Codes p0411 keep pooping up. Literally I have put more money then I paid for the car. Financially has drained me. When called the manufactor about recalls they said those recalls were expired . The car has become somewhat dangerous. Also I believe when purchased the vehicle the emmisons says 2013 on the bill of sale says 2012 . I just recently found the documents . My steering wheel shakes and jerks while driving and when I start the car. Also, my car steers and pulls to the left while I’m driving until the electric power steering light comes on and then the steering locks up and I am unable to turn the steering wheel to make a turn which can lead to a crash because I have to force the wheel in order to turn. I was driving on the highway and my steering locked and I pulled over safely and tried turning the car off and on. This has turned the electric power steering light off and I was able to turn the wheel but my steering wheel still shakes and jerks and the car pulls to the left. To add, a few minutes later my steering locks up and the electric power steering light comes on again and I am unable to turn the steering wheel. A couple of days ago I was coming off of an exit and the power steering light came on and I could turn the wheel to make the turn, almost causing an accident. Fortunately, I was able to force the steering to make the turn. *this has been a reoccurring issue. I will post the date below for the latest occurrence.

To begin with cd player stopped working the service tire light stays on the seat adjuster went out this is used to support your back while driving while driving on a residential road the car would not go in drive. The car just suddenly stopped while in drive. It goes in reverse and stays in park but the other gears do not work. It was a good thing that I was on a residential road and not the freeway. I keep having to repair the headlights left and right they keep burning out for some reason. Gets frustrating. And I have been pulled over for a burned headlight but the officer was aware the the make and model of my car have defects with headlights. He didn't site me but said to get it fixed.

Steering has become increasingly stiff and harder to turn, as if the power steering doesn't work. My granddaughter hit a curb in a tight turning entrance to a 4 lane highway and broke the wheel and other component parts.

I have owned this car for a little over 3 years and it suddenly started giving me a "shift to park" message after I physically put the car in "park" and turn the car off. The car will not turn off completely because the car does not think that it is in "park". It is gradually getting worse as time goes on. There were two instances where I thought the car was turned off and when I came back to my vehicle, the car was dead. All within 15 minutes. The car does not shut off after turning it off because it thinks that the car is not in park so the radio, lights, and everything electrical stays on. This issue causes the battery to drain quickly. This issue can easily leave someone stranded with a dead car. I took it to the dealership to get a diagnostic test on it in June 2022 and they could not replicate the issue. I am taking it back again this month (August 2022). I have read a lot of discussion forums about this issue. There was only a recall for the same model for the production years of 2016-2019 I believe. This issue is pretty common among Chevrolet and I think that it's crazy that there is a huge problem with their shifter assembly and they never fixed it!.

Service traction light/ service esc / esc off has come three times replace what was told to be to problem three times.

I'm a single parent and I can't afford to take my car to the dealership I love my car I have had my 2012 chevy Malibu for over 6 years n I hate to just have it park at home knowing that, that's car was my everything. It started having problem with esc . When I would come to a stop then taking off it would break on its one I was told it could be my throttle body so I went n buy one n now the idle is too high now I can't get it to fix. Pls help me out I'm my car that I love so much.

The dash is displaying service power steering service tire monitor system service esc and traction control. All of which have been recalled on other 2008 chevy Malibus with different VIN numbers then mine. I feel my Malibu is unsafe and needs to be inspected and placed on the recall list as well. I am available to have the car inspected as soon as possible. The steering is popping and grinding when I turn. The steering wheel jerks when I drive over bumps and the car sways and swerves which makes it hard to control. This is a family vehicle my young child rides in the car daily and I worry about his safety due to the steering locking up like the other recalled Malibus. I am scared to drive it I feel like it is very unsafe. The vehicle has only been inspected by my certified mechanic. There were warning lights displayed on the dash as I stated above. They've been since I bought the car at the beginning of February.

I purchased said auto 2015 with 30,000 miles I have had to replace 6 axle bearing 2 because abs tape came off of hub I have replaced camshaft accuaters and cam shaft solonoid,I was a mechanic and service manager for over 20 years . Car, had the right 5-20 oil at oil changes. Car has 160,000miles now but about every 30,000 miles it needs anouther axle hub. I drove pontiacs for years I worked in a pontiac garage the last two had head gasket problems I replaced my self. I think gm should have had a recall on these cars for I am not the only one replacing these hubs.

Unknown I was driving to work last week on Thursday and when I attempted to make a right turn my steering wheel was difficult to turn and a few seconds later it locked and the car turned off and on the dash board the battery light turned on and the words that appeared were service traction, service esc, and power steering.

The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number (251v633000 rear toe links) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The mileage was 135,000.

I have contacted the dealer multiple times since August 2021(first notification of the official recall). I am told that I am in a waiting list because the manufacturer(gm) has not provided the repair parts. I have contacted the customer assistance number provided on the recall letter multiple times with no results. I filled out the manufacturer survey based on the contacts to the assistance number indicating my dissatisfaction and requested a follow up contact. No results. I keep getting notices from the manufacturer that I have not had the recall fixed and the dealer will not fix it. I feel stuck.

The passenger front light stops working no matter his w many times I fix it. Replaced bulb 3 times within two weeks. Works for 1-2 days then stops. Everyone I know who has a Malibu is having the same problem. The right wheel rubs and makes noise. No matter how many times I have it fixed, no matter how many times I replace the noise continues. Mechanic cannot figure out why.

I purchase the 2010 chevy Malibu, 6/2013. The service traction lights comes on periodically until I am forced to take it in for service. I had to take the car in for this same problem at least 4 times, more or less, also the last time I took the car in, the technician was not able to reset the sensors. A more seasoned tech had to reset the sensors. I am filing a report, because this cost me money every time I take it to the dealer and it is certain a safety issue for me to continue to drive the car with the service traction light coming on and off and stationary at times. Reduce engine power light appears while driving on highway. The car slowed down lights flashed then it stated something about 25 mph. It flashed so fast.

The vehicle has major electrical issues from the day I bought it. Just last week I started the car it made a noise as I was driving I had no speedometer, no blinkers. No radio on gas gauge and no temp gauge. I have had this car stall in motion on a highway and no recall? it's basically a death 🪤.

Power steering fails while driving, had to shut my car off while I tried to make a turn on the higway. The 1st time it happened at home on may 2020, car locked up and wouldn't move at all. Dashboard will say traction off, esc off and it won't let me move my steering wheel. I have to shut off the car and wait a few minutes for it to come back. Car is at roughly 133k miles and had no issues prior to this. Also, when I drive my front side of the car shakes as if it is going over stuff. I replaced both cv joints, gotten the car aligned, and balanced my tires and they still can't find the issue with it. Only recall that pops up is the electronic, but I believe it has the steering recall as well.

I was driving down a city street when all of a sudden I lost the ability to steer my escl came on. My wheels locked up. I just bought the car in August and have had nothing but problems with it and I'm now concerned as well about airbag safety I'm scared about how risky and dangerous this car really is Malibu is most recalled vehicles had I known ahead I would never have purchased this deadly weapon. I'm 22 a single mom who is responsible and now have a vehicle issue and a potential deadly one at that . Please do something it's not an error on my end I know that for fact. And of course there's no driving it at all. So please take time to take this matter serious god bless.

Since the first of January I've had to replace my headlights and brake light 3 times so far , I have also replaced the my bearings on both passenger and driver 2 times on my passenger. And the reason I am writing this now is because my driver side needs replaced again. The headlights didn't come on in the morning when I was leaving for work. And the bearing just started making a sound when driving and the steering wheel would shake bad.

While driving at various speeds, the brake pedal wade an abnormal grinding sound. The contact stated that extra effort was needed to depress the brake pedal. The contact also stated that the abs system failed to operate as designed intermittently. The contact stated that on occasions the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle slid before coming to a stop. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. While driving car steering wheel started to make a clicking sound both left and right then when I stoped car battery needed to be jumped started become hard to control car and it seemed as if car wanted to lose power I was on waterman and baseline. The car is not functioning right I am having major problems such as my manufacturing control my battery light it's constantly going on and off it is draining my alternator I have just recently switched out the throttle body and it was still giving me minor problems such as a back rear end passenger tire well I don't technically think that it was the tire because it makes a loud rocking noise haven't quite just found out the problem I have checked out every other thing that I could think about to my vehicle 2006 chevy Malibu that is but I myself continue to work on it and half of the time it still shuts down or won't comply right and one more other thing my abs system takes a 60% fuse but the abs still comes on with the fuse in and with it out and I am having a major problem with my traction control sensor but now so far my car is just down and not drivable and one more thing my car was driving during the shutdown system on the city streets.

I was sold a car priced at $4,995 but when the initial contract was signed the car representative failed to keep the price the same and without consent overcharged me for the car $10,000 I called back a week later to notify them the car had went out, was in bad condition, wasn't driving, and put me and my family in harms way. Car shutoff twice in motion once while actually driving on the freeway. I asked to have it repaired due to the fact that I was forced into purchasing their warranty that he stated came with the car but put in the contract later that I would pay $1000+ dollars for it when it's an expired warranty from 2017 when the dealer first got the car so it's only a extended warranty and doesn't help with anything. He came once to repair the car by putting some fluid inside to make it run & instead told me he changed the battery which turned out to be false the car kept cutting off and going out I kept seeking help it was david and abn motors who refused to fix any mechanical issue I was having with the vehicle and in return the car put me and my family in harms way it is a danger to have or drive with my kids cops said so also it cut off on the highway while driving and leaked an extremely large amount of oil while me and my kids were inside the vehicle I was forced to merge over completely to get out the way of traffic as the car just stopped motion. Something under the hood popped and the vehicle was smoky state officials order me and my family out the vehicle in toledo a hour drive away from my home. They stated it was a safety hazard and that I could not enter my vehicle and took it away. I had even sent over a message to the dealer representative I purchased the car from a month earlier stating I was having problems he refused to respond or help he stated that I already signed the contract and I should deal with it myself.
