I purchased a 2003 chevy Monte Carlo in April 2011 from a used car dealer pmm auto sales whom I trusted and dealt with for years, with less than 115,000 miles and within less then 30 days there was signs of minor problems. When I attempted to have the vehicle checked by the car dealership. I was pushed to the side mainly bc im a female. I did notice a white film when I check the low oil pressure light but I didnt think anything of it bc of my lack of knowledge. Come to find out the intake valve gasket was gone and needed to be replaced. The warranty CO. Aslo swindled me only paying for a small percentage of the repair. Leaving me with a major repair bill on a car purchased less thatn 30 days ago. The mechanic knew the prob b4 I explained it to him in detail and/or any significant research. He std that it is a common flaw on these car models. Sad to say but I got beat in more than one way.
I had to turn on the a. C. So the car would not overheat --took it in and they had to replace my intake gasked was told this is commen with chevy--3 months later my air compresser is shot already have paid $3,000 and the car only has 50,000 miles.
