My 2000 Monte Carlo has had 3 instances of accelerator sticking on interstate driving. Rpm's will increase to over 3000, luckily have been able to safely bring car under control and manage to get it off of highway and stopped by turning key off. It also will fail to start at times and if it does start, when I turn it off, may not start again. Had it in repair shop and they put it on diagnostic machine, but could not locate any problems. Need help!!!.

While driving at 60 mph the accelerator pedal became stuck and the brakes failed to stop the vehicle within safe distance. Even in neutral the engine continued to race. The vehicle was taken to the dealer that found no problems.
