One problem related to fuel hoses lines/piping and fittings has been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving, the brake line leaked. As a result, the pedal became mushy and was unable to grab. The dealer stated the fuel tank was designed too close together, therefore, dirt settled on the line and caused rusting. The front brake pads and rear brake shoes were installed on the vehicle. When the repairs were being made, the technician(s) noticed the front pads wore out prematurely due to the defect. (ac delco durastop brakes).
