Two problems related to seat belt have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet S10. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Drivers side seatbelt wouldn't latch. Driving and smelled smoke. Saw smoke coming from under drivers side dash. Stopped and saw melted wires. Seatbelt indicator light went out.
Received recall notice (#97v096001). Contacted dealer. Was informed that there were no parts.
